Parfait sur toute la ligne

J'ai passé un très agréable séjour. La maison est super sympa, bien décorée et propre, dans un quartier cool. Lisa et Avi sont d'excellents hôtes. Je recommande vivement cet endroit à tous.

Fab Montrose Hotel

Fantastic location---walk to restaurants, or very short drive. Loved the ability to spread out in an apartment, rather than a cramped hotel room. Dated decor, but that added to the charm and comfort. Very clean. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Not fit for pigs.

Even had bugs in tub. Very dirty. The rooom was12 by 14 bed looked slept in.poor parking. Tub was gross The worse place we have ever stayed in.Desk chair only chair,computer desk with T.V. Could not leave fast enough.

awesome Breakfast!

Located in the middle of Montrose, this open space B&B stands out especially by its delicious. Breakfast in a family like atmosphere, where all the guests sit at a large table, being served by marvelous chef Roxanne with a variety of eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit and self made granola! I'll certainly will be back.

Pet Un-Friendly B&B

I've never left a bad review, usually I just let it go, but this time I need to let you know..... Booked this B&B cause they said they were pet friendly, even called to make to make sure. We checked in late and found that the room they left for us was not clean, it had wet smelly laundry sitting on a washer in the bathroom, etc. We asked to be moved and they did, but came to find out that the owner was very upset we had a dog...she cursed when she heard our pooch bark and said, " Who the F*ck has a dog in my house?" When we tried to explain what had happened and why we were moved from the other room, she said, " That's not true, and that dogs are only allowed in the other building" (the one where the room was not cleaned, she also said, "It's my house and I don't like dogs." She would not allow us to explain and was very rude. After all, how would we have come to be in the room we were in if not for someone on her staff placing us there? Needless to say, the rest of our stay was not relaxing, it was even hostile at times. So, don't be fooled, this is not a pet friendly establishment. If you don't like dogs, why allow them and make your "guests" feel uncomfortable? Won't stay there again, even without out dog and certainly won't recommend to anyone I know!

Modern B&B is awesome!

Modern B&B is a great place to stay in Houston, TX! I was there for a training class so was not at the B&B except to sleep and enjoy the awesome breakfast but I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to Houston.

Beautiful.

We were very impressed with the beauty and the artistic style of this "Modern B&B." The rooms were lovely, the linens cozy. The breakfast included fresh fruits, homemade granolas, muffins, toast, yogurts. Chef Roxanne made eggs or omelettes to order. Wine and fresh cookies were put out in the evening. Lisa, the hostess, was full of energy and information.

Very good stay! The owner was fun and great to chat with and the breakfast spread is awesome! Its in the heart of the Art District. We'll be going back.

Bad area of Houston

This hotel is a really bad area of Houston. After arriving in Houston I realized it. I asked to cancel my reservation but no luck. They have a no cancellation policy because they know people will cancel upon arrival.

No parking available. Shared a bathroom

I had to park in the street, no one available to assist with luggage. There were no phones in room to contact the front office, and the bathroom assigned could be used by others who shared the common areas. Will never use this facility again.

Very good place to stay. Had one unfortunate issue

Let me begin by writing the place is very nice and the staff is so attentive. Great location. I would have given this place a 5 but I had an issue when I checked out early. When I went to the B&B to get our luggage, I spoke with the assistant who said I would get a refund for the 2nd night. When Orbitz contacted them to confirm, they were told I would get a refund only if they resold the room. I am disappointed they did not honor what they told me.

Location was great. Breakfast amazing. If we had a room other than the "spa" room, which had a tub next to the bed and a 3 foot wall that neither of us felt safe getting into and a bathroom that was in a closet, I would have rated this place higher. The room needed some TLC.

Good deal if not overly picky

When making your decision whether to stay here just know you are sharing a town house. Your only privacy is your locked bedroom that is directly across from the other people staying there. There's is a very nice large tiled shower but the sink and mirror is in the bedroom. Not convenient if your partner is trying to sleep in. Breakfast is served in a common room. The food was wonderful, homemade and healthy. My only real issue was the cleanliness of the bathroom (ugh fingernail clippings around the toilet) and under the bed. Trust me if something goes under the bed just let it join the rest of the lost or abandoned items in the dust/dirt bunny underworld. The neighborhood is fine and close to great restaurants (try Grace's) and museum district. Zoo was wonderfully too. I would recommend this B&B as long as you know what the setup is. I also have no doubt that if I had complained about the cleaning that something would of been done as I found the hosts to be very courteous and helpful. It just isn't my style and I also think it should be unnecessary as it was pretty blatant. But for the price and the delicious breakfast alone it was a good deal.

Great place! Great location!

We were upgraded and checked in early. The manager was very nice and helpful. This was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was delicious and nutritious. We loved the location. We will definitely recommend this to our friends and look forward to staying there again!
