Just a short walk to a great surfing beach and minutes to the Abaco Inn (indoor/outdoor restaurant, bar and pool). A nice walk to world famous Tahiti Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Elbow Cay. A short golf cart ride to picturesque Hopetown, restaurants, shopping, groceries and miles of pristine beaches. DECOR Colorful Bahamian/coastal style decor and furniture. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and throughout home. First floor open living room with wall of windows and glass sliders out onto covered porch area. Entertainment center with large flat screen TV/ Bluetooth Sound-bar and Base and plenty of board games. Custom designed features throughout including cathedral ceilings and fan/light combos in all bedrooms and throughout home, recessed lighting with dimmers, luxury vinyl floors with hand painted memory foam rugs, brushed nickel and oil rubbed bronze hardware and white, natural bamboo window shades. Sunroom directly off the living room with sofa and matching ottoman, coffee and end table and a large wall mounted flat screen TV. Glass sliding doors lead directly out onto the deck, looking out over two gazebos and White Sound. Dining room area with seating for 6 and beautiful tropical breezes. Open, fully equipped kitchen with designer Whirlpool appliances, including gas stove top/oven, built in microwave above, side by side refrigerator with in door water filtration and automatic ice maker, dishwasher, granite countertops and custom glass tile back splashes. Door to outside covered deck/dining area. Walk out to large deck with bench seating along the entire back wall, separate, smaller seating area and fully enclosed and private outside shower. Large side deck area surrounding a custom, private, swimming pool and two gazebos separated by a locking gate. Plenty of seating/lounge areas to enjoy sunning and listen to the ocean waves. Two bedrooms downstairs, one queen and two twins beds and hall bath with tub/shower and double sink vanity with granite top. Upstairs Master Suite with king bed, flat screen TV, separate AC mini split, bathroom with large custom tile shower and frameless glass door, double sink vanity and granite top. Glass sliding door opens onto private deck with magnificent views of the Atlantic and White Sound. Cozy sitting area with rocking chairs. PLEASE NOTE: NO PETS ALLOWED... As such, water is a precious commodity which is why there are NO laundry facilities available at the house. We limit the use of our laundry equipment to be used by our cleaners only. If laundry is necessary for your stay there are several options on the island from self serve laundromats to full service that will wash and fold your laundry, all for a nominal fee. Our caretaker (local) is available for any needs Catch A Wave is equipped with a "full house" automatic generator. We have taken extra precautions to assure that our home remains as clean as possible. After each stay all high touch surfaces including tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, handrails, light switches, remotes, wardrobe and cabinet handles, desks, toilets, sinks, bedside tables, and kitchen and bathroom surfaces will both be cleaned and disinfected. We do have WiFi service throughout the house and TV's where you can stream programs but please keep in mind that this is still the Bahamas so speeds and connectivity might not always be what you are accustomed to back home. The property is great and very typical of an Elbow Cay rental. It is laid back and a perfect location near Sea Spray, Abaco Inn and Tahiti beach... walking distance to all of them. Caretaker was awesome and helped us with the water and coordinating golf cart return etc. There is no washer dryer for use by the tenants which is important to know if you are staying for a longer duration. ##### Parker J. The location is approximately 3 miles south of Hopetown Marina/harbor and having a golf cart is really ideal when arriving. Property set up was also amazing. Three bedrooms, spacious living quarters, and beautiful outdoors. The concierge was very property in providing anything we needed. I would highly recommend to anyone staying. ##### Leo S. Even though it was the start of off season (which we didn't realize) and some of the restaurants/shops were closed we still did a lot. We rented a boat from Conch Pearl Boats (MOW), explored the other cays, fished, spear fished, snorkeled, bar/restaurant hopped, climbed the lighthouse, went to Tahiti beach, etc. Our family consisted of 6 adults, my husband, our two adult "kids", and their significant others and Catch A Wave was comfortable and very spacious giving everyone their own space when needed but also had plenty of spaces inside and outside to come together and just hang out and relax. I will miss waking up and having my coffee on the deck every morning listening to the waves and feeling the breeze. Jack (the caretaker) was always there whenever we needed anything, he and his wife are a big asset to Catch A Wave. We will be back... ##### Jana C. The house was perfect and the outdoor area did not disappoint! Thank you to Hermanette & Jack the caretakers as well, were at the dock upon our arrival, rented us a golf cart for the week, even suggested Captain Mike for a charter boat experience, exploring the other surrounding islands. We returned to Hope Town after a five year hiatus due to the hurricane and pandemic. It was great to see how well the island has bounced back and so many of the familiar friendly faces. An ideal vacation for us with surprise pool toys/games/etc at the property for our kids and close proximity to Tahiti Beach which is their absolute favorite place in the world. Owner (Jane) was so helpful and available whenever needed, and Caretaker (Jack) was awesome as well, but other than that we were happily left to a peaceful family vacation on our own which was exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I took our sons and their wives. The house was perfect for 3 couples. The caretaker, Jack, took great care of us when needed. The house is a short walk to Sea Spray Marina where we kept a small rented boat. There is also a great Tiki bar, food truck and corn hole at the Marina. The owners answered all of my questions quickly. We had THE BEST time on this trip!!! ##### Barbin G. Host was not willing to accommodate our provisioning service and could only suggest a higher cost option. Host offered to arrange golf cart rentals but claimed no six seat carts available. I found a six seat cart after two phone calls instead of renting 2 four seat carts. Not enough propane to provide hot water on day three but property manager corrected after making a call. A bathroom fixture was partially broken upon our arrival and completely broke while we were there. We were charged in full for this item repair and would have had no problem sharing the replacement cost since we failed to report the initial damage on check-in. However this was not even a consideration by the Host. Also be aware as stated in the contract you are not allowed to use the washer/dyer and this might be a challenge when traveling with larger families. ##### Gene B. Great place to stay with all the amenities needed for a great vacation in the Bahamas with friends! Just a short distance from the sea spray marina and just a short golf cart ride to anywhere else on elbow cay. Perfect kitchen supplies for cooking every night! It’s got everything you could possibly want. We were there when a storm went through and power went out. It was lovely having the automatic generator. We did worry about running out of diesel but luckily the fuel barge managed to bring more to the island. The cell phone service is not the best but internet was good. It did go down a few times, but wasn’t long before it came back. Jack the caretaker was wonderful and kept in contact with us and could not do enough to make sure our vacation went well. Jane the owner was also very responsive to questions. Renting a golf cart is a must to get around the island. Easy reach to Tahiti Beach, Abaco Inn and FireFly. I would recommend shopping at Maxwells before getting the ferry over as stores only have basic supplies. ##### Margaret S.
