The location is within walking distance to many restaurants giving you several dining options. There is also a convenient small grocery store across the street for essentials or snacks. On the 12th floor at the far left of the building overlooking the marina. Unit is farthest away from the elevators and next to trash chute. Odors from trash chute apparent when waking in and small roaches in the kithen possibly due to its proximity. Jetted tub not working and very high to step into. Localization is 10/10, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Well-equipped kitchen, cable TV, and everything that a family would need for a holiday. The owner was super responsive and polite. I would stay here 10 times again. Garage is nextdoor to the main entry, but it's a bit tricky. It costs $28 per 24 hours, but when you enter the first time, you need to purchase a long stay ticket from a kiosk on the wall, on the left, not the one at the entry gate, which is for short stays. Just purchase for as many days as your stay, and you can exit and enter multiple times. In short, book and you will not regret it. The neighborhood location is great ... very walkable to beach, restaurants, shopping, etc. The view is fantastic and the location of the condo in the building is great also - very quiet end unit. All of our communications were good. The only "con" is the very deep jetted tub with shower enclosure in the bathroom desperately needs to be replaced. I think it is impossible to clean that area fully, so appears to have some mold issues. Also, it is very high to step in and out of. Another challenge for some might be the lack of a dishwasher. We don't mind handwashing, so no big deal other than the design of the sink vs counter space makes it a bit difficult. We had a great stay and would happily stay here again. ##### Merry P. So grateful to have a full kitchen to cut costs on food. Conveniently within walking distance of the lagoon and ocean beaches that we visited nightly. Only a few buildings away from the Hilton, allowed us to visit their outdoor shopping village and enjoy their nighttime drone show and fireworks from our balcony. The view of the marina and ocean waves, along with the sunrise and sunset was absolutely beautiful. One of the days, the entire building was without water from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, for repairs. The owners responded to my text messages within minutes. They also gave me updates when they had them. Long-term parking pass was a bit confusing. But, the parking garage staff was helpful. Be aware that the washer and dryer is community coin-operated. It is not within the unit. Overall, would recommend to anyone looking to vacation in Oahu. ##### Jeanne R. Management was quick to respond to my problems of standing water in the shower and plunger in bathroom sink was stuck in the down position during shaving. Unfortunately the maid that was called in to resolve the problem was a little gruff. She made it seem my hair was the reason to a clogged shower drain (I'm partially bald) and what idiot pushed the plunger in on the bathroom sink. Regardless, the problem was resolved. The unit does need an update/refresh, the bedspread was torn in one corner and slider to the balcony does not lock, however I don't feel anyone would enter from being on the 12th floor. Overall, the unit is comfortable and the unit is in a prime location, which is why I always choose the Ilikai Marina. The views and sounds from the room are relaxing. I never did figure out the parking situation. I did pay $140 for a 5 day pass, and it worked once. There really is nobody that can help. The security guard seemed shocked that someone would ask him a question about the parking pay station that was just around the corner from his post. Jun 11, 2021 #### Great condo with terrific views Ilikai Marina Condo #1294 was the perfect vacation home for me and my son. The location right on the marina provides magnificent sunsets and it’s fun watching the boats, surfers and marine life from the lanai. We saw a turtle and a shark in the water right below the condo. The kitchen is well stocked and has a fridge with tasty filtered water and ice. It doesn’t have a dishwasher. A few of the dishes were not very clean unfortunately. I noticed some grease on the plastic glasses. But that was a minor inconvenience. The master bed has a dip in the middle, but it was comfortable. My son was happy with the pull out couch. There is plenty of storage to put away clothes and shoes. The air conditioning works great and water pressure in the shower is good. We didn’t hear any noise from the neighbors, which was another really great thing about the place! There is parking in the building for $23/day. Overall we were very happy with our stay! ##### Pia B. We loved being up high and on an end unit. Did not hear any riff-raff from the mariana below. Loved getting up and watching the surfers everyday. Friday afternoon around 5pm all the sail-boats left the mariana what a beautiful sight. Watched the fireworks from the balcony Friday night did not realize how close they were going to be. AC worked GREAT which we love because that is part of what your paying for when renting a unit is to feel nice and cool after being outside in the heat/sun all day. Kitchen very well stocked with all your needs and wants. Living room furniture was nice and a bonus that there were two tv's in the unit. Bed was very comfortable and loved that there were extra blankets for lounging on the couch. Totally loved that there were two fans to circulate the air. We are both fan folks can not sleep without the noise of them. Ease of getting in condo for the first time with great communication by email with the owners. Our only complaints are: bathroom shower mat looks very old and dirty could use a new one, bathroom not cleaned very well soap scum on the glass bowl sink and the trim in the shower area. I also don't think the entire floor was cleaned very well as I was walking around the first day in my white socks and after unpacking I looked at my feet and my socks were very dirty from the floor. Wish there was a safe in the condo for cash and jewelry felt like we had to hide both everytime we left the condo. The last thing is the condo is VERY dark and lamps do not light it up enough. Some new brighter lamps would be great. We got a text in advance that the water would be off the next day from 9am -4pm so we took showers before leaving for the day. When we returned the water was back on. We understand that this issue was out of the owners control but the advance text was GREAT! We would for sure rent this unit again it has a very homey feel. Maybe a few upgrades would be nice tho. So overall our rating is a 4 not a 5 for the money this is a great unit to rent for your Hawaiian vacation. ##### Christine S. My husband and I stayed in condo 1294 for 5 nights in November 2017\. The condo was exactly as advertised. Often pictures of hotels/rentals look way nicer than the property really is but this unit did not disappoint. Our welcome email was clear and included the address of the property as well as driving directions. There were clear instructions on how to obtain the keys to enter the unit (lock box attached to door). The wifi code was also in the email. Parking was easy and we went ahead and paid for the full 5 days up front ($100 or $20/day) The elevators were easy to locate and pretty quick. No complaints. Walking down the hallway to the unit, you can smell cooking odors from other units and some noise but nothing that was over the top or bothersome. \*\*It should be noted that once inside the unit we could not hear any noise from other units or smell anyone else's cooking odors. The unit is located at the end of the hallway right next to the room with the trash chute. Surprisingly there was no bad trash smells in the unit or hallway and we were not disturbed by other guests dumping their trash. The unit was very clean and well stocked. The full kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook breakfast every morning and dinner a couple of nights with no problem. There were some pantry items like seasonings and cooking oil in the cabinet. These may have been left by other renters. There was dish washing liquid (no dishwasher). There was plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, towels, wash clothes, etc. We did bring our own soap and shampoo because we knew the hotel sized soaps wouldn't last 5 nights. The bathtub has jets but we didn't use it. There were instructions provided on how to use it if you chose. The water pressure and temperature were great. At first we thought the bed wouldn't be comfortable because it creaked a bit when we sat on it but we slept great each night. Extra pillows and blankets were provided. The living room couch was a pullout. We didn't use it but as a couch it was comfortable. There were plenty of hangers in the closet and we were able to hang up all our clothes. There was an iron and ironing board, a vacuum, hair dryers, a blow up mattress, and several other extras that I can't remember right now. We slept with no AC and the sliding door open. Fans are provided but we didn't need them. We did turn the AC on and shut the door when we woke up and as the day heated up. We watched the fireworks from the balcony on Friday night and enjoyed watching people surf and parasailing. The balcony is small but with the curtains pulled back and the doors open you can enjoy the view from the dining table or the couch or anywhere else (except the bathroom) for that matter. I'm trying to include all the things that I would want to know about this unit. Overall it was an excellent choice. No complaints. We were able to enjoy our vacation visiting family and at the same time be comfortable as if we were home. I'm so glad we chose Condo 1294 for our stay! ##### Yolanda H.
