Apparently, I booked a twin room instead of a single-queen-sized bed one. Well, boo-hoo for me, they won't let me change it without an additional X HKD charge per night. So, I'm stuck with having two beds. On the plus side, I got to use the other bed for additional storage for my clothes because I was too suspicious of the closet -- it was dingy and smelly, and the carpet flooring had some weird stains on it. Hooray?
I stayed here in this property previously, so my expectations were high. Well, sorry, but apparently, not all floors and rooms are of the same standards. The room I got slotted into was old, and the room showed its age as well. None of those modern trappings of the previous hotel room I was in during my first stay.
I didn't opt for the food, so I don't have any idea if they food had improved (previously it was very basic).
The wifi was very spotty, and I constantly got disconnected, especially when working off a VPN. The TV channels were meh, with only one English channel (TVB Pearl).
The location is still awesome, of course: near the MTR, King's Road where all the buses stop, and a short walk to a tram terminus.
