My problem started at check-in. I had an additional child with me--his mother could not come, so they cancelled the second day of their reservation--I cancelled the first day of mine. I thought that they could just change the name on the reservation, and leave us in the same room--this way we were each paying half the bill. It, of course, was already paid for with the credit card on file. After a long time and the staff member looking irritated, she left us in the same location. Then, I tried to pay my bill up front with cash--she said that I couldn't pay at check-in, I didn't understand this, because I had stayed here before and paid the entire bill at check-in. Really! Cash and paid in full! After all, they still have the credit card on file, if there is any damage. Finally, she slammed a policy down in front of me--said again that I had to pay at checkout. As she continued to check us in, I read the policy--it said that I could pay at check-in! I could have embarrassed her right back, but chose to take the high road. Also, I had kids and others around me. This left a bad taste in my mouth for the entire stay! Hopefully, this will not be the norm. Thank you.
The staff was very friendly, which was the highlight of the stay. The room really needed to be updated and contained many items in need of repairs. My children enjoyed the pool but the lighting was very poor at the pool. I used the laundry room but the washer and dryer made mys clothes stink like cigarette smell. The coffee on the continental breakfast was very good.
A great hotel option with free hot breakfast and free cocktail hour. Bed was very comfortable and everything in the room worked well. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Hotel was very conveniently located to many attractions. Did not get to try the pool or fitness center but they looked pretty good. Would definitely stay there again.
