We were pleasantly surprised at the facility, the friendly staff and the wonderful breakfast and evening delight given by the manages, Monday thru Thursday. What a very nice low priced hotel located with easy access to interstate and downtown Birmingham. It will definitely be my first choice on my next visit to the city.

"Pleasant hotel near restaurants/UAB medicalcenter"
Clean, comfortable room---a king suite at a very good price. The sitting area had a love seat, arm chair, coffee table and desk. The television swivels so that it could be seen from either the sitting area or the bedroom area.
The hotel staff was not exactly rude, but not welcoming either. I had to wait at the front desk at check-in for a clerk to notice I was there. The woman who was running the breakfast area the next morning was taciturn. The maids, however, were pleasant and went out of their way to say hello or good morning as they went about their work. They also inquired if there was anything we might need.
Breakfast was the usual stuff---waffles, pre-made omelettes with toppings, cereal, yogurt. As a hot tea drinker, I look forward to the hot water dispenser being hot enough to steep my tea. This one was so tepid, I ended up going to my room to microwave some water in order to get it hot enough because the breakfast room attendant was completely unconcerned when I asked for really hot water.

I had the most beautiful experience at the Comfort Inn from the time I checked in. My room was very clean, the bed slept very comfortable. I had plenty of towels. I had breakfast every morning and it was perfect for me. I love the beautification at the entrance even though I did not get an opportunity to sit on the benches outside where you could just relax. Scott at the front desk was absolutely wonderful, thoughtful, and kind. I have decided here on out that when I am in Birmingham, this will be my home away from home. Hopefully, nothing will change and only get better.
The staff was very friendly, which was the highlight of the stay. The room really needed to be updated and contained many items in need of repairs. My children enjoyed the pool but the lighting was very poor at the pool. I used the laundry room but the washer and dryer made mys clothes stink like cigarette smell. The coffee on the continental breakfast was very good.
"Good location and reasonably close to Legion Field"
This was quick trip to Birmingham for the Birmingham Bowl so did not get to see much. However, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and made the short stay a very pleasant experience. Would recommend to others and would stay here again if we make future trips to Birmingham.
Homewood, a suburb of Birmingham, offers endless shopping opportunities, from a central business district that has been thriving since the 1920s to the convenient, indoor Colonial Brookwood Village. From his vantage point atop Red Mountain, Vulcan, the world's largest cast-iron statue, overlooks the city of Homewood and offers stunning views of the greater Birmingham metro area from Vulcan Park.
