"This was a wonderful surprise, a hotel on top of a hill overlooking the ocean in southern Bohol. The staff was great, the food very good, the swimming pool refreshing and the cottages very well designed. A little bit out of the way, but an excellent option if you want tranquility."

"It is situated nicely and tucked in a quiet neighborhood. The way it was designed the villas and rooms has walk ways and outside nature you could enjoy. The pool is a plus. The cafe and restaurant had a relaxing and quiet feel. It is a reasonable price including breakfast. Also we met a neighbor Alfred who took us a nice private tour. Good job Secret Garden Resort. Keep up the good work! When I visited Bohol again. This is a place to stay. Staff on restaurant was all wonderful and very attentive. "

The property is clean with a great pool, clubhouse (with bar/cafe and pool table adjacent to the swimming pool), and friendly staff. "This is a boutique hotel and while is doesn’t have pools and nightclubs it has a charm that is unique. It is beautifully peaceful and the beach in front of the hotel is as good as it gets. The staff are amongst the nicest people I’ve ever met. Despite its small size Villa Umi offers a wide ranging food menu and extensive breakfast and even a cute little bar. Couldn’t have wished for a nicer stay. "
