« This is an institution but honestly I'd rather have a drink here and sleep elsewhere. The staff were very kind and helpful. It was mainly that because of the awesome pub it is noisy until pretty late. More from people on the street going in an out than the pub itself. It was pretty warm so I needed to leave the window open for some air. It is in the middle of town and safe and clean though, only the partiers were a problem but I was there on a Friday night. »

« Very clear instructions how to sign in. Room was lovely with a view of the sea and very good value for money! They even let me know that the carpark was going to be out of use due to the local festival taking place in the carpark. « This was our first visit to see what it was like to give us future options and to compare it with Doxford Hall where we usually stay for short breaks. We are sorry to give only 4 stars for this particular stay, the property and room quality were both excellent as were the staff we interacted with but the stay was let down by a problem with shortage of kitchen staff due to illness. « Peter and Sheila were wonderful hosts. They gave us ideas of where to eat and places to see. Breakfast was very good and enjoyable with them providing information about the area. If we return to the Northumberland area we will definitely return there to stay again. »
