What is the best area to stay in Holtinge?
The best area to stay in Holtinge is near the Holtingerveld nature reserve, particularly around the villages of Havelte or Uffelte.

Holtingerveld is the heart of the area's natural beauty, offering vast open heathlands, woodlands, and ancient burial mounds. It's a peaceful region, great for those looking to connect with nature. The villages of Havelte and Uffelte are situated on the edge of this reserve, providing easy access to its many walking and cycling paths. In Havelte, you'll find a charming village green, a few local shops, and restaurants.

Couples seeking a tranquil escape will find either Havelte or Uffelte ideal. The focus here is on relaxation and outdoor activities. Evenings can be spent at a local restaurant, enjoying the regional cuisine.

Families will also appreciate the space and outdoor opportunities available. With plenty of room to roam and cycle paths suitable for all ages, children can safely explore the natural surroundings.
When is the best time to go to Holtinge?
