Built in 1835, the inside is thoroughly modern with each room boasting tasteful decor and easy comfort. On the ground floor, cream and French grey tones create a soothing atmosphere in the lounge while plump sofas and chairs make it the perfect room to socialise and relax in. Alternatively, pour yourself a cool drink, open the patio doors, and move outside to the front garden. When it’s time to eat, step through to the galley kitchen and prepare a delicious meal, which can then be served at the dining table in the conservatory. Or better yet, if the weather is good, open the conservatory doors and dine outside in the courtyard garden. The soothing decor continues upstairs to the first floor where the three bedrooms are located. Featuring a king-size, twin, and single bed, the bedrooms are light and airy, and homely touches include bedside tables, framed artwork on the walls, and ambient lighting. Outside, enjoy morning coffee in the rear courtyard or bask in the sun while planning your day’s agenda in the front garden.
Holt’s town centre is 500 yards away and is a pretty place for a stroll with its art galleries, antique stores, shops, bars, and restaurants. Alternatively, explore Holt Country Park with its 100 acres of tranquil woodland. For a day at the beach, jump on the steam train and travel to the Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham (7 miles), or journey to Blakeney Nature Reserve (5 miles) and spend the day watching the seals frolicking in the water.
