We had a lovely stay here for two night, room was lovely and warm. Very dog friendly, breakfast was lush, over all lovely little pub and b&b.. We will definitely stay here again. Many thank to all staff. If you are looking to stay here, just do it. You won't regret it.. it just lovely.

We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by the loveliest staff! We were then kindly given an upgrade from a snug room to a superior double with lake views which absolutely made our stay! Such a king gesture. This is our 5th time visiting we try to make it at least twice a year!

![On the way back down after we had climbed Scafell Pike we took this beautiful route to Wasdale Head and Wastwater.  Nothing makes you feel quite so insignificant as being in this vast landscape.  Can't emphasise enough, even though pathways are well marked please don't forget that it's still climbing a mountain!  Go prepared with plenty of layers and the right kit, and don't be the reason that mountain rescue have to risk their own lives to save yours. #LakeDistrict #England #TakeAHike #NationalPark
