Comfortable rooms, great breakfasts

Beautiful location. Room was comfy and cozy. The bathtub was amazing after a day out exploring. The room we had had windows looking at the sky / and a beautiful view over the water. It was quiet and lovely. The restaurant was fairly priced and delicious. The included breakfast was delicious (and hot) and plentiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was sad to leave it felt like home after just a couple of nights. There was lots of parking (free)

The proprietors are very friendly and accommodating. The place has a lot of charm and is clean and perfect for our needs.

Rue calme, mais près de tout. Nuit silencieuse. Consignes claires

Great breakfast, excellent restaurant and even better staff. Everyone from the warm reception (at 11:30 pm!) who stayed late so we could enjoy a night cap after a long travel day. Engaging all around! Would definitely stay again!

We stayed 3 nights at this excellent B&B, and could not have chosen a better base for our Orkney adventures. I highly recommend this place.

Great staff and property. Excellent breakfast. Room had a couple of leaks. One showed up on the window sill when it rained hard and one was from the bathtub. Otherwise a very comfortable stay.

The Shore was a wonderful hotel for our trip to Orkney. The rooms where spotless, the shower was wonderful and the restaurant served delicious food.

convenient location close to cathedral and palace ruins; excellent "full Scottish breakfast" in morning; we had arrived at 23:00 and they were able to help us with our late check-in

I loved this stay. The hotel had some poor reviews and I did not have that experience. The checkin process was quick and easy. The staff were very friendly. The hotel could not be closer to the ferry (you could walk in five minutes probably). We had the closest parking spot as live ever had - right in front of the hotel (free parking until 9am). The beds were comfortable. The room was cute. There was one time when I heard the pipes from someone else’s room. We were there late and out pretty...
