"I stay at this hotel every month when I travel for work. While I have some complaints about the rooms, I still choose to stay here for price and convenience. None of the things I mention are so bad to deter me from staying here. There is a Marriott nextdoor that I stay in as well if it’s cheaper at the time. The location is convenient in downtown Raleigh, and there are many restaurants nearby. There is a restaurant and bar within the hotel, and they have a cafe in the mornings for coffee. Parking is across the street, and it’s $20/nt. There is a public garage directly adjacent to it that has free overnight parking, unless there is an event. The rooms are generally very clean, and the bedding is always fresh and comfortable; but it is time for a refresh. The bathroom could use a remodel or a deep clean of the shower head, tiles/grout, caulking, and walls. This seems to be consistent for all the rooms I’ve stayed in here. There have been a few rooms where the thermostat did not work. Despite being set at the lowest temperature possible (64*), it didn’t get any colder in the room. One room was HOT all night during the summer. The hot water took 15 minutes to come on in one room. I waited for it to get warm for 10 minutes before I relented and showered with freezing cold water. Thankfully, at the very end, some warm water came through to warm me up just as I was finishing. This was a one-time experience in one room, though. I still choose to stay here despite these things. "
