"We booked The Mercantile on the Katy Trail as a last minute, on a whim stay during our family road trip. We couldn't believe how amazing the property was when we arrived. Every detail was thought of, and what an amazing place to stay! It was by far the best place we stayed during our multi-state road trip. Highly recommend to anyone!!!"

Every room felt thoughtfully curated and true to the period, adding charm to our experience.We especially loved the spacious back patio; it comfortably seats six and still leaves plenty of room to relax or move around.Our entire group had a wonderful stay, and we truly hope to be welcomed back again soon."

"We stayed in the cottage and both rooms were so nice and clean. It came with breakfast and it was actually a cooked breakfast like pancakes, French toast, quiche, and egg casserole served to us. It was amazing. "

"Our host was easy-going when he greeted us at the door. The bed was very comfy, the room was quite large, and we loved being within walking distance of everything in Hermann. This place looks exactly like the guest bedroom your grandma's house. I wouldn't call the room secure (we never got an actual key for our room? maybe I'm too used to City Life!) Very quirky, this is not the place to stay if you need modern, updated accommodations. We had a great time exploring the town and would stay here again."

"Stone Haus is a beautiful property and a comfortable, cozy place to stay. Linda and Larry are such lovely hosts and their dog Maddie was a fun addition to our stay. The breakfast was delicious! We look forward to staying at Stone Haus again the next time we visit Hermann."
