Serenity in the Mountains
Traveled to North West Carolina with 3 friends to seek some rest and relaxation and play golf. Chose to stay at the Mountain Serenity House for 4 nights. The house met our requirements perfectly. It was as advertised. Very clean, comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, very clean bathrooms with plenty of towels. The view of layered mountain scenery from the back deck was magnificent. Drinking my morning coffee in the morning or sipping a glass of wine in the evening watching the sunset was truly relaxing. It has about a mile of gravel road up to the house but not difficult to navigate. My friends and I played 5 rounds of golf at 5 different area courses which were all in good to very good conditions. We played at the Cummings Cove Golf Course, the Etowah Valley Golf Course, Bald Mountain Golf Courses (2), and the Reems Creek Golf Course (Exceptional). Would definitely stay again if in the area and highly recommend.

North Carolina Mountain Getaway
This was a nicely appointed property at the top of a ridge with gorgeous long range views. We utilized both the front and back porches, and experienced some incredible sunsets. The location is quiet, serene, and relaxing. It is also located close to both Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest, which provided great access to hiking and mountain biking. We will definitely consider renting this home again in the future.

Incredible Visit
The view, the view, the view! Even on a cold spring evening, we bundled up and watched the sun set and enjoyed every moment of it. Amenities were plentiful, exceeding our expectations. Beds were comfy after a long day of biking and enjoying Pisgah and DuPont. The white squirrels, turkeys and deer gave it all a nice extra touch.

Amazing Home Away From Home
If you rent this house you won't regret it. Super clean, comfortable and amazing views. All of us enjoyed it immensely. So many things were provided for extra touches. We didn't want for anything. One of the best houses we've ever rented. Owner was great to communicate with. Again you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful views!
The road to get there is crazy, but worth the drive as the setting is beautiful! The home was nice and well-equipped, just some hiccups with dirty towels and having to wash them ourselves prior to use as there was only one per guest for our 5 day stay. Hilda communicated via text and tried to rectify, but to no avail. When we’ve had issues at other properties, they have been rectified in person immediately or the next day, so this was a bit frustrating, but she was apologetic and kind. I just really didn’t want to have to do laundry on vacation! Lol. All in all it was a nice stay and we would return again, just maybe with some extra towels, lol.

We appreciate you letting us know about the towel situation. Unfortunately, the battery on our locked linen closet was low and would not open. We always try to keep extra supplies in the laundry room, which is available to guest. We apologize for the inconvenience. You are so right, no one wants to do laundry while on vacation!

Fantastic Mountain Home
Myself, my wife, daughter & her husband plus 2 grandkids stayed here. Great house with unbelievable views. Plenty of room for everyone. House is supplied with about everything needed for a week stay. Location is secluded but still easy access to Hendersonville stores &restaurants. Many state parks with great hiking and waterfalls nearby. Would absolutely stay here again!

Getaway w/ a view
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was well kept and had all the amenities of home. We spent every morning and evening on the backporch- the views are amazing. Also, got to see some deer and white squirrels that visited the yard. Would absolutely recommend!

Perfect mountain retreat
Opted to rent from Hilda instead of hotel or cabins at Camp Pinnacle and have zero regrets. Cost was more effective than multiple rooms at hotel and accommodations an upgrade from camp cabin beds. Thanks Hilda!

Lovely quiet home with stunning views
This home met all of our expectations. Once you find it (I do not recommend checking in after dark due to the winding roads up the mountain) you will have an amazing stay. The home was clean and well stocked and everything it was touted to be. The views were outstanding and we could have sat on the desk for the entire week enjoying the view. We did, however see much of the countryside as the location of the home was central to many attractions that we wanted to see. I would definitely stay here again!!!!!

Agreed! Checking in after dark the first trip up, the mountain is not the best. Glad your stay met your expectations. If you did not visit Jeter Mountain Farms to pick apples, you must put it on your list for next year. We went last week and it was a wonderful experience. They even had grapes to harvest!

Family Reunion
This was our second timing staying here. Probably one of the best views you could every ask for. That being said if you don't like long narrow gravel roads up the side of a mountain this house isn't for you. But the view on the front deck is worth the drive! Inside of the house is as described and very comfortable. There wasn't any back-up TP so that required a trip to the store and no bulb in the lamp in the guest bedroom up stairs. Minor inconveniences. Overall a great place to stay!

Mountain Vistas
The house and yard were perfect for our children and grandchildren. Loved the porches and observing the mountains from morning to night. The sunrises, sunsets, and stars were all wonderful. We’ve never seen the Big Dipper so clearly! The house had everything we needed. It’s obvious that great care is taken to provide a lovely vacation home for guests.

My favorite place to rent
I've been renting this place for over eight years. The views are absolutely gorgeous! Took my friends up this last time to explore the mountains and they fell in love. Also its a bonus that my Aunt lives next door and Hilda the owner is super helpful and if you let her know immediately something isn't working she will have someone up there fast to fix it.

Heaven on earth
In all of our travels this is hands down the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. The expansive views of Etowah Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains are breathtaking and spectacular. The cottage is adorable, comfy and well stocked. We especially love both the back deck and the front porch! It is very peaceful with the woods that surround you, and yet you have huge, expansive views where you can see for miles and miles. We highly recommend this cottage if you enjoy being one with nature. The host is excellent, helpful and gives attention to every detail. She is amazing!

Peaceful mountain getaway
Hilda was a lovely host with prompt responses when questions were posed. The views were million dollar views. As with many mountain getaways the road to the house was an experience! Unpaved and single car only, when meeting an oncoming car one of us had to back up to a wide spot in the road. As long as your informed and comfortable with that the views made up for any discomfort in the mile long drive up. Comfortable home worth revisiting again.

Views are absolutely stunning! Two main master bedrooms with a third quality room. Everything needed for your stay and everything immaculately labeled. Driveway is a journey of it's own. I enjoyed it, could be a bit dicey in a small car. One of the best locations I've stayed at .

Fun family vacation.
The home was spacious and had beautiful mountain views. It was perfect for our family of four. We enjoyed long days out hiking, sightseeing, eating out but then came home and were able to relax in comfort. Full kitchen was very helpful, rooms were comfortable and clean.

Charming getaway in the mountains!
Our stay at the Cottage was exactly what we were looking for! The beautiful scenery off of the back porch was stunning to wake up to. The managers of this property were the sweetest people and had all of the best recommendations for our stay! The house was very charming with plenty of books and games to keep busy, or cozy couch to just sit and relax. It felt like home away from home. There is so much to do in there area as well! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be looking forward to coming back to visit!

We came for a wedding and the house was perfect for our family. We had an amazing relaxing time! We visited nearby waterfalls and woke up to an amazing view everyday. Great month at Mountain view
My husband and I spent the month of August at Mountain View Cottage. We had a wonderful time. We woke every day to a breathtaking view on the Etowah Valley and the mountains beyond and went to sleep every night to the sound of crickets. The location was great for seeing all of the mountain towns in the area, the waterfalls in Pisgah and of course Hendersonville, a really special town. The house was cozy and stocked with everything we needed. The beds were great and we were able to entertain our kids when they came to visit. We grilled and made smores in the fire pit. We saw deer and enjoyed Netflix and Amazon tv in the quiet evenings. Hilda was always available to answer questions. and we think that we made the perfect choice when we chose her home for our vacation.

A relaxing 50th
Thank you for a relaxing stay at your mountain house. I was able to have several friends come up to celebrate my 50th birthday, and we had a great time. The weather was beautiful and we had some incredible mornings with the clouds hanging below the peaks. Renting a house that is well-stocked is such a pleasure; items were organized and in obvious places. My only regret is that our stay was too short. We will certainly recommend your home again to friends and family!

An Absolutely Perfect Place!
My family and I were able to find this house at the last minute. We had originally booked hotel rooms in Hendersonville, and were not very excited about it, after finding most of the houses and cabins we found online were already booked. We came across this listing and called Hilda, and we were so excited when she told us it was available. The house is absolutely beautiful! And the views are just as described in everyone else's reviews--just WOW! The beds are extremely comfortable. Since we have a tempurpedic mattress at home, we were happy that there was one in the house. The kitchen was well stocked with most anything you would need in the way of spices, sugar, etc. We literally only went to the grocery store for the food we wanted for meals. There were so many exceptional personal touches throughout the house. The owners have made the house so warm and user friendly. We have never met Hilda in person, but she is the warmest host we have ever dealt with, and the house is truly a reflection of her. You can tell she loves it by all the personaly touches she has added to it. Thank you Hilda and Judson for a perfect winter vacation! We hope to come back soon!
