The room was reasonable, except for the fact that there was an ant infestation in the shower. The general condition of the property (lobby, hallways) is rather poor.

Hotel staff were all very nice. The hotel is close & walking dietetics to XL Live venue. The hotel was clean with comfortable beds. Small breakfast in the morning.

The staff was friendly, otherwise the place was filthy. Stained chairs and carpet. Our room wasn’t ready. They started cleaning once we got there at 5pm. The doors hinge wasn’t on properly It was very loud and didn’t feel safe.

Needs updated and better cleaning practices for the rooms. The Queen bed was really the only thing that made this room comfortable. Checkin was superb and staff was friendly and courteous. Otherwise, the room was really not worth the rates. I did not go for breakfast, so I can’t review that, but the breakfast area looked nice upon checkin.

Great location and price. Friendly staff, easily let me back in the room when I realized I had driven off without one of my heart aids. Breakfast was barely adequate but for the price you stop at a Mickey Ds

DIRTY RAT HOLE BED BUG DISASTER
NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE. It had blood on the sheets and bedbugs. After complaining and moving to new rooms, the rest of stay was scary to say the least. Just waiting for something bad to happen. After requesting some sort of refund, the hotel said we never made any formal complaint so were not required to refund anything. I think coming to the front desk and saying there was blood on the sheets and getting a new room is a complaint? This hotel should not even be on hotels.com, its a rathole. We had booked two weekends in a row here, so I immediately cancelled the second stay but the hotel said the rate was non-fundable, even though it was still 5 days until check-in. Again do not stay here, zero stars, f these people for running such a crappy establishment, and a giant no thanks to hotels.com for allowing this to happen with no resolution. I book hundreds of rooms per year with you and this is how you treat loyal customers?

Horrible
The stains on room chair were unreal. Splaters of who knows what on wall. Entire hotel smelled of old and mildew. Doors closed with large gaps. The best was the included breakfast. Plain yogurt, waffle machine and frosted flakes. Warm water trying to play off as coffee felt like a needed a ahower after this stay. Do not book.

We have stayed at this property several times, and it has some nice features, like being right beside the river, with its nice waterfront walk and walking distance to some decent restaurants. It's also reasonable value for its low price. It would be great if the city of Harrisburg could do something to improve the lighting and general security along the river and along Front Street, since the area feels a bit scary at night.

No Quality for this Inn
When the front desk walks with you to the room to ensure all things are in working condition, that’s a serious problem. Cheap room and it shows with many repairs showing, tears in the carpet, holes in the walls, outlets over burdened with too many electrical devices plugged in. Mold and soap scum all over the bathroom. The only bright spot with this place, is the extremely friendly nice woman at the front desk who was very apologetic.

The location was good for where we had to go. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The hotel room was not what we expected. Cob webs in the corners of the room, stained bedsheets, our toilet did not flush and it was already rigged to flush so we rigged it again. The office chair was torn everywhere and taped to cover it up. Ripped blinds and the power went out 2 times before we even checked in. Only the hotel was affected.

High Hopes With Disappointing Results
I lived in south Harrisburg for a number of years and walked by this motel many times with my dog.This past Christmas holiday brought me back and I made reservations for two nights. When I walked into the lobby I could smell the distinct and pungent odour of curry. It was like an Indian restaurant. The new owners need to realize that many US guests do not like this odour. I reluctantly checked in only to find the door lock wouldn’t open for me or the desk clerk. I was given a new room next to a side door exit. The room smelled like stall cigarettes, the linens smelled used, the bathroom appeared clean but had mold in the shower and rusty scratch marks in the tub. There were a lot of sketchy guests going in and out the side door most of the night causing the door to slam as they spoke loudly. I felt totally unsafe all night and did not stay the second night staying with relatives. Breakfast was poorly stocked and presented and was done by 10am. The first night the parking lot was basically empty but by morning it was completely full. I asked how full the motel was as I checked out and told it was at 50%. Clearly the owners are either renting out spaces to downtown workers or residents of Shipoke Village. Way too many tented homeless people near the motel. I had high hopes for this riverside motel but I wouldn’t stay there again until it was either cleaned up or totally renovated. Low rates = undesirable residents. I give this motel only two stars.

One of the doors leading outside has crime scene tape on it like a crime scene happenee there. Also in the hallway they had a bucket catching the rain dripping from the 2nd floor. The closet door handle in my room was broken and held on by 1 screw. The room was comfortable and semi clean
