  • Welcome to the Keewenaw! Well cared for home provides a comfy retreat, whether you're looking for a relaxing stay, or coming in from a long day of snowmobiling or hiking. Three bedrooms, plus a downstairs family room with a queen-size sleeper sofa, provides plenty of space if you're traveling with a group. 10 minutes from downtown Hancock, there is access to beaches, hiking and biking trails, as well as every winter sport you can imagine. 15 minutes to Mont Ripley, 45 to Bohemia. Cross country, snowshoe, and snowmobile trailheads within 5 minutes! Please note you will need to trailer snowmobiles to trails. 2 car garage with a large concrete pad in front of house for parking - plenty of room for a trailer or two. 15 minutes from Michigan Tech's campus if you're in town for an event or hockey game. Start your day or wind down at night with a visit to the built-in sauna!

This large house accommodated the eight of us well, including one disabled person. We enjoyed the expansive view of the Portage out front and the back entrance was navigable with a walker, both big pluses.

This was one of the best places we have stayed in several years. An updated home, with everything we needed on the second floor. There was a sauna and a second living room on the first floor. It was very clean, fresh and quiet. There was a gorgeous view out the picture window of the living room. The beds were very comfy.

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. It had everything we needed, except soap and coffee pods, but we brought our own anyways. The layout provides privacy and room for guests to spread out. Spectacular view! Host is super nice. I’m a very picky renter as we own vacation rentals, this house is a great pick!

Great place to stay for a ski weekend at mount Bohemia!Very comfortable and homey place. Place was clean and the beds were comfortable. The huge garage was a great perk, snowed the whole time we were here and was able to load and unload my vehicle straight from the garage and it fit my SUV with the snow boards on the back.

This house is amazing. There are not too many rentals in the area not to mention homes that are also dog friendly and boy did we hit the jackpot on this one. It literally felt like home. The house is so comfortable yet so well kept and beautifully decorated. It is clean, spacious and comfortable. It had everything you could want from plenty of fluffy bath towels to comfy bedding and my FIL who was a painter kept commenting on the beautiful paint job throughout lol. It also had a spacious yard for our puuppers and was super close to a dog friendly beach. Amanda, the owner, was so kind and responsive. If you are in the Houghton/Hancock area and need a home away from home do not hesitate to book this place!

We truly enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for celebrating my daughter's MTU graduation. We had only 2 issues - the carpet in the living room was curled up so it was a significant tripping hazard. We also had a difficult time accessing the house key in the key box.

We had a great stay. The view is incredible. One warning for larger groups. There are no curtains or blinds whatsoever in the living room, and sheer curtains in the dining room. So, anyone who intends to sleep in the upstairs living room pull-out bed, you will be awakened at daybreak. So, bring a sleep mask.There was an issue with the sauna drain while we stayed, but the owner responded and addressed the problem right away, and also discounted our stay.

Nice, clean, big house with a great view!Visited to snowmobile the UP. Plenty of room for 2 trucks and trailers, not close enough to sled to trail from the property, but wasn't a far drive at all! Definitely a stay at again property!

Quiet location along the Portage with a nice view and plenty of space for a family of 6 with a dog. Close to parks and charming downtown Hancock. About 15 minutes drive to Michigan Tech. Great access point to all things outdoors in the Keweenaw. Host was quick to respond to any questions. Enjoyed our summer stay and would definitely recommend.
Lots of games and puzzles if you want to stay in for a day.
Great view out the front of the home, inside or off the small balcony for morning coffee. Watch the Ranger III on its travels to and from Isle Royale.
Lots of waterfalls within a reasonable distance for a multi-fall day trip.
Enjoy the waterfront in Houghton on your stay as well!

All the comforts of home

Visited our son at MTU, and hosted his friends for dinner and games. The house was very comfortable and made it easy for us to host. Appreciated all the extras, blankets, kitchen supplies, serving dishes, etc.

The home was every bit of what was advertised. Great layout and amenities. Towels, soap, toilet paper....just show up and enjoy!!! Was there with my family for my son's wedding in Houghton. Just a 15 min drive... perfect! You won't be disappointed!

The place was as advertised, house was clean and spacious with very nice amenities and comfortable beds. An excellent view and quiet neighborhood.My only gripe was the instructions for entry were a little unclear. We arrived when it was dark and it was difficult to find the house key and the instructions on where to park were unclear as well. It wasnt until we went inside and read the binder did we realize where we could park
