« What a beautiful, interesting house. Staff was great. The pool was not available. The shower heated to very hot and then wouldn't allow cold water....too hot to use. The window AC was very noisy and made sleeping difficult. What a fascinating/charming place to stay. »

« The food was wonderful and very fresh! The beds were very comfortable! Each room is thermostatically controlled and has its own charm. The floors and stairs are creaky but adds to the charm of an old home.
Laurie is such a great host! We enjoyed her company very much! She made our stay so nice!

« We were thrilled with the quiet, comfortable, spacious room. It was great for sleeping and for reading. The house and property are beautiful and fascinating historically and architecturally. The hosts were incredibly kind and even helped us out with a car issue. Breakfasts were generous and delicious--quiche, coffee cake, fruit salad, etc. We had a great time and were well pleased. »

« I first want to say the owners are very nice. I do think they wanted us to feel comfortable and welcome. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together. It does have such potential to be amazing if there are some changes made.
