Dear Bernie and Jill, you were in the smallest, cutest apartment we have. If you were unhappy you should have told us while here. The floors are new just 3 months ago and there is a brand new refrigerator. Stove not dirty just getting old. Yes, all rooms in this unit are small and therefore there is not enough room for much, but it's cozy and quaint. You stayed with us on 9/9, too early to put the heat on. You could have asked for extra blankets. May I suggest next time you book one of the new condos 400-500 per night. Our rentals reflect the nostalgia that most people love about Hampton Beach. By the way, enjoy life :)

This is cute 3 bedroom cottage with a new kitchen cabinets and granite countertop. Is it an older cottage? Yes, like most places here, but it's clean. Clearly someone walked by and their dog pooped without picking it up. We are happy to take care of it. We care about our guests and our business. Thank you.

This following was sent to Expedia... Dear Rep: It was requested that I write you after speaking with a representative from Expedia. We had a customer that wrote a review that the owner says is defamation of the character of our business and is requesting that it is removed. We been with you many years and have not made such a request. This woman spent one night with us and wrote a nasty review. We are not a Hilton which she was expecting. We are a beach motel. We may be old but we are clean. We fix up as we go along as the money allows. There was nothing that was going to please and her review is unfounded. She stayed in a room that has new flooring and new paint. All rooms have new bedding and exterior doors. Very minor water damage under window. It bubbled the paint. We can't please everyone on bed softness and it is not slanted. We have 16 extra remotes for our tv's. She is not allowed to say she does not recommend any of our properties! She stayed in one! Please remove this from our reviews. Her name is Constance *****. She stayed 9/6.

Dear James, I am sorry that you one of the rooms that has yet to be remodeled but we are working on it. We have a lot of rooms that have been updated and we continue to update. It takes time. With a 2 1/2 month season and 12 months mortgages it is impossible to do all updates now. Our beds are not old, some like soft some hard, can't please everyone there. You rented a motel room, not an apt or house, so yes the walls are not as thick. A lot of people love Wally's and it does close at 1am not 4;30. Your review is your opinion and we are happy we have many, many happy customers. Thank you. We wish you well.

Dear Christina, Equipment fails. Our staff gave you another fridge to utilize. You know when I came to your room this morning that I turned the cold indicator and it started to run. Our guests are told at check-in if anything is out of sorts or you feel our housekeeper missed to let us know. You failed to do that. As we continue to update this old motel we hope people can realize we cannot do everything at once. Its is old but not dirty. We have a great team. Let's talk about the new doors and carpet on the stairs at the motel! We continue updating...it's a process. We are thankful we have many, many happy guests that understand that.

Dear "Anonymous", (we know who posted this). We had not received any complaints prior to yours as that bed was purchased 1 year ago. We double checked it and find no springs out of sorts. We do not put shades in our windows, we have blinds and curtains. Thanks for posting this egregious review! Please, enjoy life.

Yes our motel is aging. However, we have been painting, updating the floors and new doors are planned before the summer season begins. We love when people complain that the bed was uncomfortable....some like it hard, some like it soft and some say it's just right :)

Yes we are across the street from Wally's Pub. Not sure which room you were in, but upkeep is always ongoing. Nothing will ever be perfect, especially for people that look for something to complain about. We have many repeat customers that vacation with us. You cannot speak for everyone. Thank you for complimenting the staff. We do strive to ensure our guests have a pleasant stay :)
