There are other potential tenants in the house in front, but they were respectful and nice. Unfortunately I was there when the remnants of a tornado went through, so it was rainy and I didn't get to enjoy the outdoor area much, but I can see how it would be lovely in good weather! I thought that was disrespectful and not quiet at all. Also, the outside cushions were invested by ants so we were not able to use them. They sent me the information way in advance about the property as well. It was a very quiet area and quaint as well. I liked that it is kind of central in between Newport News and Norfolk so plenty to do. The outdoor patio was nice even though it was a bit too chilly for us to hang out there. The host is awesome because I made a slight suggestion for a more accommodating stay for me and it was considered and done. The outdoor living area is the best feature. House was comfortable for my family, enough space for 2 adults and 2 young teens. Location was central to many things we wanted to experience, the beaches, historic sights and more. Easy in and out to highways and shopping. The house also has a fantastic outside space, although it did get very warm during the day in August. It was nice and cozy for us. The view from the dock out back was beautiful. Sadly, the patio furniture was wet and slightly moldy, so we weren’t able to use it much. Also, we didn’t realize the house was in someone’s backyard. We never saw the people who were in the other house, but it was still a surprise to see we didn’t have the privacy we thought we did.
