The staff were fantastic very friendly, polite and extremely helpful. The room was perfect with a great view of the harbour. The whole hotel was neat and tidy with everything you would need for a great stay. The restaurant has a sea view and the food was perfect. The breakfast is a must a full help yourself buffet with everything you could possibly want and more! Also the hotel has a large car park. I highly recommend this place!

Good location with lovely views from restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good pool and spa with towels provided. The stairs and corridors could do with new carpets.

Perfect stay. Thank you. Unfortunately the carpet had some significant staining that should be steam cleaned. Also bottom of bath could do with cleaning to remove grubby marks where people stand to have shower. Accomodation very good tho.

The location was very good unfortunately the weather was a bit of a wash out. The food was excellent as we're all staff. The room was okay but could do with a bit of TLC as in a of decorating over all it was a good stay.

firstly check-in was seamless, room was lovely and first impressions is they keep everything in working order and clean - dyson fan so quiet that also heats room - would always ask for more towels if more than one guest staying but easy to do by calling ‘0’ from the internal phone - pool was lovely shared with other guests and lockers too - breakfast was better than others with plenty of options - plenty of car parking

On arrival we noticed the carpet in reception wasn’t clean, the stairs upto the rooms were thick in black dirt with the carpet warnout threadbare, woodwork and walls really need painting. Our room had a very a dirty carpet, we moved room to hard flooring still not cleaned properly, bath had a shower curtain that stuck to you when showering, chipped bath, hand basin had lots of little chips which we didn’t really want to use. We did expect a usb port in the room but there wasn’t any. Pool area was in poor repair lots of tiles missing from the pool, changing room needed a good clean. Such a same from the photos on line you don’t see this. We was looking forward to this stay but was very disappointed!!!!

Comfortable - all right
Comfortable hotel . A bit cold in places . Interior newly decorated. Disappointed that they could not do porridge in the morning which I needed for the Langstone half marathon

Beautiful location. And really good standard of hotel. If you are looking for peace, and quiet, great walks and a couple of great pubs just across the bay this is ace.

Overall was alright, service was very friendly but slow. Bed were a little uncomfortable notnsire what it was but just off. We had 2 rooms 1 was fine one however was freezing amd not hotwater took a good 5 minutes to get luke warm. Radiators not working and a dyson fan heater tickled the room. Otherwise great hotel location and good on the eye, facilities good amd handy

Mostly great.
Great location, new looking room with good facilities. Breakfast was good quality. Cost was good. Only negative was the busy afternoon in the spa / pool and the pool condition needed some TLC.

The bedroom and corridor was in a bad state, carpets were torn and dirty. In the room, there were large brown stains on the carpets, Radiators turned off in the building with fan heater in the bedroom, window when closed had a massive gap, bathroom had mould and thick layers of dust, safe was broken. Breakfast was reasonable, lunch was good but expensive (£41 for 2 sandwiches and tea) Dinner was shocking, chicken tikka only had 3 pieces of chicken and was out of a packet and again £42 for one meal and 2 drinks. When complained to reception was told yes we know it needs to be refurbished. Disgraceful! The spa though was clean and warm. Wouldn't recommend.

New Year’s Eve
Hotel was busy as it was New Year’s Eve, but they ran out of hot water early into the evening so none of the guests could shower ready for the evening. Hotel is dated and in need of modernising. Food in the restaurant was excellent and the service was great.

Mixed bag
A mixed bag but overall quite disappointing for new years. The food was great but service was lacking and the rooms are very tired. The bar area is nice however.

Excellent stay for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Only thing is lacking is a spa with treatment and at times staff were a little un professional...Ie.. overheard complaining about other staff members quite loudly. Overal though, I'm sure we would come back.

Terrible experience
It was HELL to be mild, to even warm up our xmas dinner that we had to drive back to Portsmouth Central to warm up our food because whoever that was attending to us just left us and went on attending to other WHITE guests. On boxing day when we went yo swim and sauna, our cards were deactivated, which prevented us from entrying our room as we we left cold in the hallway till i had to get a maid to eventually let us in

I personally didnt enjoy my stay much. I didnt find the bed comfortable and didnt like the breakfast at all, a huge factor for me was the water in the room for bath/shower was tepid cool. The pool facility was lovely though, lovely clean pool and steam room. slightly hotter showers, but not by much. Staff were nice

The hotel looked great from the outside, ruin down inside in places like the carpet was frade, chipped paintwork, some other guests where rude swearing shouting and fighting between themselfs that upset loads of other dinners and it was meant to be a romantic last night meal, the restaurant had run out of most items on the menu very selected choice, drinks were a bit expensive, room was nice bed was comfortable,
