Joe, we’re glad you enjoyed your second stay. We recently had two guest reservations that used the dock with no issue during their stay so this surprising. Our description explains that we will fully reimburse guests who need to dock their boat at the nearby marina for any reason. We would have welcomed hearing from you about this. We include info in our description about the dock and river conditions. We’ll contact you to get a better understanding. If anyone has questions about the dock they can contact us. Karen, we’re so glad you enjoyed your stay. We communicated and you didn’t mention anything about the cleanliness of the home. You are the first guest to mention cleanliness. If our cleaner overlooked anything we need to know so we can correct it. It would have been helpful to know earlier, instead of finding out this way, late. We take our cleanliness and our guests’ experiences seriously. We brought this to the cleaner’s attention and expect nothing less than a clean, welcoming environment.

Thanks for the review Kami. Glad you enjoyed your stay overall. The property shows that we care about our guests by the features/amenities that we added in order to offer the best experience. This is not our full-time home so everything in it is for our guests. Things like the fire pit on the balcony with an additional propane tank so guests can use it as long and as much as they want. And adjustable motorized furniture so guests can completely lay back and relax in any of the living areas, especially while they're taking in the view. And there's more that shows that we cared enough to invest greatly in our guest experience. We believe a caring host deserves a personal note for something like a spaghetti strainer and other parts of your review because we’ve shown that we’ll will take it to heart in order to improve. Especially since we keep open lines during stays. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans cooking utensils etc. for most anyone's needs. It should not be difficult at all to provide meals. Our property is on other sites and this is the first complaint we've heard about the kitchen. With that said we added a spaghetti strainer. Again this is not our full time home and we may miss a thing or two that we'd be happy to hear about with a personal message. We feel terrible about what happened to your boat and we hope it's up and running. We had several communications with you warning about the low water level and river conditions before and after you reserved your stay. And our property details clearly state this, and establish docking is at boaters’ risk. Again, we have no control over the water levels and conditions of the St. Lawrence River or the way and duration boaters tie their vessels to the dock. The fourth bedroom is on the lower level of the house, so it's expected to be cooler than the rest of the home. It is not an "icebox" by far. That language paints an untrue picture. The home is equipped with brand new central AC, that includes the lower level, which is not really needed in the summer because there is always a breeze coming off the river. - The AC is an additional feature. Opening the windows and using the ceiling fans will take advantage of the great river breeze, day and night. This allows any guest to turn off or lower the AC power in order to easily increase the temperature in that room. We know because we do it ourselves. When the AC power is lowered or off and the breeze is used, the lower level and entire home is breezy and very comfortable. Keeping full AC on will make any lower house area much cooler than the rest of the home. Ed & Karina
