Our main issue was there was no water access for swimming which we thought there would be. The shoreline was covered in dead fish and algae so the smell was very strong just sitting by the steps. Byng and Knights Beach are local so if you're looking for a day at the beach plan appropriately. We weren't able to do any firepits as it was a windy weekend. Be sure you bring your own wood, towels and pillows/bedding with you!!! The outdoor space was larger than I anticipated so lots of sunny or shade options. Room for outdoor games!! Plenty of places to sit and a picnic table so you can choose indoor or outdoor meals. The lake facing wall is ALL window which makes for a great view but warm cottage - we couldn't get the AC going but did not report to host just left the windows open. If you're in the small room with the futon be ready for an early morning getting up with the sun!!
