Very nice old-school German hotel. Don't expect a modern American-style kitchenette or even an elevator. Room was nice and breakfast every morning was stellar. The location is excellent.

Room 27 was remarkable value ... My room had replica Sunflower picture by Vincent Van Goth, plus 2 historic pictures of Blankeneser Breakfast was very good.

This was a bad experience
Check in was lousy , unfriendly. We got a room to the street front, very noisy. Asked to change to another room, was told because we booked with Expedia , not possible. Room was dirty , and bathroom gadgets, drain plug, shower door not closing , all drawers from cabinets not working. Room has no safe, shower to small to turn around, and had to walk into the bathroom to dry. Room was totally run down !!! Room was dark , very small windows. We stayed for 3 weeks, 1 or two days was enough. Worst hotel we had on our 2 month trip.

Can only recommend
Very friendly hotel and easy to reach from central station or airport. Rooms are tidy and of very good size. Staid now my third time there and very pleasant, restaurant and pricing very good value. Will chose it for my next trip as ideal location to small market and walking routes along the elbe River.

this place is simply a great value
for the price paid you can't expect everything. Place is great, problem was, it has different buildings and you had to go thru the outside to get to the restaurant, and... it rained.

Great hotel in the Blankenese part of Hamburg
Stayed here on business as I had a meeting in the local area. The hotel is very nice and conveniently situated in the centre of Blankenese. I was given a room in the new wing of the hotel and it was large, modern and clean. The staff were not the most engaging but they helped with all questions when asked. The breakfast room is veryt pleasant and the buffet breakfast, whilst slightly limited, was perfectly reasonable. If you need to stay in the area then this is an excellent option for accommodation.

Great Hotel near Hirschpark Hamburg
The hotel is convenient located with bus and S-Bahn connections to the city center. Excellent breakfast and service. Clean and well maintained. Highly recommended.

Einmal reicht
Habe sehr gut geschlafen in einen sehr weichen Bett. Badezimmer neu renoviert und sauber. Frühstück wie in der Jugendherberge. Servicepersonal sagt kaum ”Guten morgen”. Gibt weder Bügeleisen noch Bügelbrett.

Es hat uns super gefallen!
Alles super, schöne Lage in Blankenese. Kann die schlechten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen, es gibt wohl für manche immer und überall was zu meckern. Das Personal super nett. Frühstück 1a (was soll da noch mehr aufgetischt werden ?!) Und die Zimmer sehr schön und sauber. Manche Zimmer liegen eben zur Straße.

Genial beliggenhed - trætte senge og puder.
Beliggenheden er genial i forhold til byen Blankenese - der kan man næsten ikke ønske sig bedre. Selve hotellet er dog træt og slidt at se på indenfor. Sengene trænger til en udskiftning og det samme gør hovedpuderne.

Im Vorfeld 3x darum gebeten um Neubau untergebracht zu werden, inklusive Zusage des Hoteliers. Wurde nicht eingehalten (Warum kann so eine simple Bitte nicht umgesetzt werden ?). Das Zubuchen eines weiteren Frühstücks war nicht möglich, um gemeinsam (extern) zu Frühstücken haben wir das Hotelfrühstück ausfallen lassen trotz Bezahlung. Die Sauberkeit unter dem Bett ist, ich sage es ungern, aber sie ist "unter aller Sau". Sehr schlecht und verhindert eine Empfehlung des Hotel von meiner Seite. Positiv: die Lage, der Preis, und das sehr freundliche Personal

Selten so eine unfreundliche Reception gehabt! Leider hat sich das mit der Unfreundlichkeit durchgezogen. Frühstück haben wir ab dem 2. Tag ausgelassen. Dünner Kaffee, schwaches Buffet… Zimmer altmodisch aber zweckmässig. Dusche lief nicht ab, Shampoo war ab dem 2. Tag leer und wurde nicht ersetzt, Hahn am Lavabo schlug an Tablar oben an, wenn man ihn anstellte… Aber das einzige was wirklich mies war, war die ausgeprägte Unfreundlichkeit der Betreiber.
