Top Hallin Hotel Reviews

The Bosville

10/10 Excellent

"The staff were extremely helpful and friendly particularly Isabella. I really appreciate her help."

Redwood House Hotel

8/10 Good

"While many of the reviews we read about Redwood were glowing, we found the property to be fairly run-down with a scary, pot-holed filled 2-mile one-track “road” to the hotel. Very surprising that Redwood doesn’t maintain its main road to better standards & a big negative for us. The people who staff the hotel are nice & food was ok. (Breakfast better than dinner.) But unfortunately, we can’t recommend it due to the access and overall maintenance issues mentioned above."

Eco and back friendly modern house, amazing views from all rooms, by Dunvegan

10/10 Excellent

"A stylish, warm and welcoming retreat to come back to after days out. Lovely bathrooms, and long views across the loch. Well located to reach most of the ‘must-sees’ on Skye. Very dog-friendly."

Atholl House Skye

8/10 Good

"It was a clean room however the bathroom had issues with the toilet needs to be changed old too slow to fillup had plastic bottle in tank to help with filling tank !!!! Makes lots of noise No one around exceptin the morning for breakfast door entry very hard to unlok and lock Service of the room on demand staff in the morning very nice and helpfull"

The Flodigarry Hotel in the Skye

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. The setting is spectacular, the views are incredible, and the grounds are lovely. We really enjoyed taking the time to explore the property. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. We especially appreciated the unlimited water, hot chocolate, tea, and Nespresso pods. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was wonderful, and having electrical outlets on every wall was surprisingly convenient. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the breakfast could not have been better. The staff truly made our stay special. Everyone was friendly and attentive, but we would particularly like to mention Cat and Frazier at the front desk. They were exceptionally welcoming, accommodating, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The magnificent setting, comfortable accommodations, excellent food, and outstanding staff made this a truly memorable stay. We would gladly recommend this hotel."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Hallin?

The best time to visit Hallin is during the late spring and summer months, specifically from May to September.

This period offers Hallin's most pleasant weather, with longer daylight hours and generally milder temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Isle of Skye. You'll find the landscape at its most vibrant, and the opportunities for outdoor activities are at their peak.

For couples looking for a relaxing getaway, May and early June are particularly appealing. The weather is usually good, and the main tourist season hasn't fully started, meaning fewer crowds at popular spots like Neist Point Lighthouse or the Fairy Pools. This allows for a more intimate experience of the stunning scenery.

Families travelling with children will find July and August excellent choices. The warmer temperatures are great for outdoor adventures, and many local attractions and activities are in full swing.

Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline – this is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right Hallin hotel for you.
