The hotel was totally deserted upon our arrival around noon. Once we found someone, even leaving our bags for check in later was challenging. This was representative of our dealings with the hotel staff throughout our stay - getting a taxi, making a dinner reservation, etc were challenging Very few English speakers. While the hotel is in a lovely setting and the rooms spacious and clean, it seems like time has passed it by. The biggest flaw is that the hotel is in a very isolated area. Other than the adjacent sister property ( which seemed a little less deserted), there are NO dining or shopping options nearly.
