Beachfront. Pool. Right across from Waves Grocery. Perfect location. Perfect place. Accommodates up to 18 per side, 36 in both! This listing is for the Sundancer's WEST Unit: 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, sleeping up to 18\. I own the west side unit too (and there is a connecting door in the main living room). Inquire if you need 10 bedrooms! Even better than a 10 bedroom home: 2 of everything (except the pool, and of course the refrigerators: you'd have FOUR fridges!). We own the Sundancer East, Sundancer West, or you can book them together as a 10BR as Sundancer East & West! Sundancer is a beautiful duplex located directly on the beach of the Gulf! Open the back doors and enjoy sun, surf, and sand! Location. Location. Location. Right on the beach, The Sundancer duplex is in a terrific location: right across the street from Waves Grocery, a restaurant, ice cream, and more! In season: S&S Seafood is open. Order up some shrimp, corn, and potatoes steamed (I choose cajun, of course!). The pool on Sundancer is beachside, fairly sheltered, fenced, and open to the sun, and there is a lot of space under the home (on concrete) to escape the heat and sun if you need to do so! Each side has 5 bedrooms 2nd Floor N Master BR: King 3rd Floor S BR: King 3rd Floor Middle BR: King 3rd Floor N BR: Two Triple Bunks (single over full) 4th Floor S Master: King Additionally, there are Queen Sleeper Sofas in the 3rd floor lounge bonus room as well as in the 2nd Floor (main) living room. ALL King bedrooms have their own en suite bath. The bunk room and bonus room QSS share a common bath. Each side has TWO, yes two, master bedrooms, one on the main floor and the other on the 4th floor beachfront, each with a tub with separate shower. TWO REFRIGERATORS Two? Per side? Yes two. Because you won't want to stay somewhere without an extra fridge once you have had them. POOL Big. Private to the two sides of the duplex: no sharing with other places nearby. The pool is open all year. It's a big 25x14x3-5' Rectangle Lounge chairs are provided around the pool. The pool is NOT heatable. You will find that to be rare, and clearly noted in a listing, and usually involve a per night surcharge. The pool is, however, open all year. WIFI/INTERNET YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 250Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though! PARKING There is available onsite, offstreet, parking for at least 6 midsize vehicles if you use space under the home and stack well. In duplex units, please be neighborly about this. SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETC As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well. PETS We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends at many locations. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Approval in a duplex location, especially for peak weeks, generally is only available for guests renting both sides of the duplex. Please inquire. Really big group? I own 4 duplexes side by side. Can handle just about any group size! No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time! Absolutely perfect for a family gathering! We had 6 adults and 7 grandkids and had plenty of room. The half bath off the kitchen is very handy. The pool was a great size in really nice condition and the pool furniture seemed new. All of the appliances worked. The 2 full refrigerators were so nice to have. We were two families with eight kids total. Everyone had nice sleeping accommodations. The location is great. There is a great market, take out sea food place, restaurant and ice cream store a one minute walk away. The only issue we had was a coffee make that didn't work. Had an issue with the microwave not working and we had a new one within. 3 hours and replaced a very outdated toaster. Excellent service. Stay in Sundancer West. Surf fished early before the crowds and then went to the lagoon in the afternoon. Grandsons had fun doing that! Our stay was good. Only complaint was that the house wasn't real clean when my daughter got there. Railing and cabinets were a bit grimy. She had cleaner and wiped down before we got there. You just might want to discuss this with your cleaning service. Gulf Shores is a great place. ##### Lori F. This is a great house for large families We were very pleased with the layout of the house everyone has their own bathroom which is very nice when you're entertaining 14 guest. The house could use some updating as far as some of the furniture. Also I know it's impossible to keep but a few more pots and pans would've been nice as well it wasn't a large variety. But it would not keep me from running this house again the owners were excellent to work with the maintenance staff was quick to respond to any repair or issue that we may have had. We had such a great time with our kids and grandkids, the house, a side of a duplex with 5 bedrooms, was very spacious. Great to look out the windows and see dolphins or to just walk straight out to the beach, a very beautiful beach. Jan 9, 2024 #### We had a wonderful time. We had a wonderful time. The location was great. My daughter had ice cream every day. We played volleyball and wiffle ball in the evenings with plenty of playing space. The house fit us well. We had 4 generations enjoying a week together. We did 3 nights of cooking in (burgers, hot dogs, brisket, and a shrimp boil). The management company did a wonderful job getting the house ready. It looked and smelled very clean. They even called us to see if we left a case of DVDs behind. I told her they were there when we arrived and we thought they went with the house. Thank you for allowing us to use your vacation rental and the opportunity to rent again. We visited with four couples and seven children and there was plenty of space for everyone. The pictures don't do this place justice. The rooms were great size, clean and well maintained. The living room, dining room and kitchen area was larger than we expected and fit all of us in there. The second refrigerator was the extra you never know you needed, but I will be looking for this every time. Having a semi-private pool was a great addition. The walk to the beach was easy to use and the outside shower saved a lot of time cleaning up sand. The families in the other half were very friendly and we all had a great time making new friends. We will be returning in the future for sure. This is the best place we have stayed in the Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach area. Thank you, Monte \[😎😎😎 Thank you so much Monte!
