Beachfront condo with glass-enclosed balcony

Gulf Tower 10C, located at 1051 West Beach Boulevard, is bright, cheerful and just what the doctor ordered for your beach getaway! The master bedroom contains a king size bed, the guest bedroom has a day bed with a trundle and there is a pull out sofa in the living room making this unit comfortable for up to six people. The enclosed balcony offers the option of opening the windows and allowing the gulf breeze to blow through as well as closing up and watching a beautiful coastal storm blow in. With a full kitchen and washer and dryer in the unit, you will have all the amenities and comforts of home.

Gulf Tower is in a prime Gulf Shores location. 1.5 miles from the popular Hangout and public beaches and 3 miles to the Gulf State Park & Pier. Not to mention the proximity to all the best dining and shopping this island has to offer! With its amazing beach front location access to the our white sandy beaches is a breeze! Aside from the fantastic coastal views, there is also an outdoor pool, BBQ grills, exercise room, and free WiFi in the Club Room for your use and pleasure. This location does have an elevator for ease of access throughout the building.

Overall it was great. We did have to call housekeeping to clean grease from the bathtub. Shower kept leaking. Place is outdated, but served the purpose of our stay. Close to food, shopping, and ice cream!!

Spacious but dated

The unit is well laid out and in a perfect location. The entire unit is dated and could seriously benefit from a couple of upgrades, specifically the appliances, plumbing fixtures and mattresses. I don’t need cool or trendy furniture, after all I’m not planning to live there, but the plumbing fixtures are so old that it’s difficult to adjust hot/cold, the stove and fridge are on their last breath (though the dishwasher and washer/dryer were great!) and the mattresses are painfully uncomfortable. Those things didn’t hinder a great vacation and we would come back to this unit again for this price.

Great location but needs to be updated everything was out dated & the condo could’ve been cleaned a little better They also didn’t mention they maybe be renovating I guess(I hope) because there were wires hanging from the ceiling on the walkway to our condo which were very unsafe & blankets were up in the elevators which made it extremely hot look like they had been up for a while. Also my sister had to pay $25 to park down the street at the main office because they only allow 1 car per guest I just thought $25 was a little much.

The lights did not work in the hall way bathroom, my husband bought light bulbs and changed them out, the stove burners do not properly sit in the drip pans and only 2 sit evenly, the oven had such a terrible odor we didn't even use it. Multiple dishes we got out of the cabinets were dirty and some washed everything before using it, the refrigerator has the bottom part the enables it from closing completely and you have to push at the bottom for it to close completely. There are ZERO batteries in the fan remotes so they are stuck on low unless you buy your own batteries like we did. The internet is terrible and you can not stream Netflix and the remote in the bedroom is broken and you have to tap the side of it to get any thing to work. The master bed is ridiculous and uncomfortable. It literally creeks with every move you make waking someone up everytime you move or role over. We also got a stripped quilt out of the closet and it was covered in urine and you could see it on the back of the quilt where it was white, so we then took out the down comforter and it was disgustingly dirty and discolored. We even washed our sheets when we got there because we pulled back the covers and they looked like they were not changed . The chain above the bed in the bedroom are COVERED in dirt. The cabinets are falling apart in the kitchen as well. Lastly, we met people who are OWNERS and checked out their places - WOW. What a difference and not to mention, this highly upset me, the fact we

A relaxing getaway

My recent 5-night, 6-day stay at The Gulf Tower in Gulf Shores was an enjoyable, leaving us with fond memories of a relaxing beach getaway. From the moment we checked in, the process was seamless, and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. A special mention goes to Mac, the adorable and super-friendly white lab, who made the office visits even more delightful. The condo itself had its ups and downs, but overall, it provided a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Upon entering the condo, I noticed that it was a bit smaller than what the pictures had portrayed, but it was still decent and had a welcoming feel to it. The first bedroom, featuring a trundle bed with a full bed on top and a twin bed below, was a practical space-saving solution. I appreciated the design of the bed, allowing for extra space when not in use. The only downside was the limited lighting, with some of the lamps not functioning correctly, and light pouring in from the outside hallway, but it didn't hinder our stay significantly. However, it's worth mentioning that our stay coincided with some construction activity, which led to some inconvenience. The limited operational elevator caused occasional waiting times, especially during peak hours. One point of contention was the strictness regarding parking warnings. While we displayed our parking tag, we received a warning due to a minor visibility issue. I’d recommend you stay at Gulf Tower for a beach getaway. Thank you!

The condo itself was a little outdated. Especially the bathrooms. There were some kickplates missing in the bathroom and also in the kitchen. The drawer underneath the stove was dented and did not close properly. Some of the blinds in the second bedroom were missing. My kids had to put a towel up to keep out the light. Much to my kids disappointment was no Wifi in this condo. That was very unexpected! I have not even asked if a condo or hotel had Wifi in about 10 years. That should really be advertised better. The biggest problem was we did not have hot water for three days while we were there. Even after it was fixed, after the second day, we did have hot water our last night. Also, maintenance did not have an extra key so I had to come up from the beach to let them in and stay in the condo while they worked on it. I have let the reality company know of all of the issues.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit provide a beautiful view of the ocean and is in a great location! HOWEVER that is where the good news stops. Unit is VERY outdated and was dirty - mold on floor boards, shower curtains. Bender had to send someone over to re-clean and replace the dirty kitchen utensils and pans, replace the shower curtain and remove MANY of the dusty items sitting on the tables. The second bathroom toilet was broken. Rust in and on the refrigerator. The wall have scratches and "yuck" smeared on them. Furniture is stained, sandy and does not match. The unit needs to pick a theme - Paris plates on the wall, ocean items sitting around, safari lamp and plate on one wall - nothing goes. Furniture is old and appears like an afterthought from a garage sale. The bottom trundle bed was covered in sand so we could not use it! Water was on the floor between the washer and refrig. Washer/Dryer unit appear newer and ran well! Bender was very responsive however it was certainly NOT worth the price we paid for the week. Others in our group were also renting and had clean, modern units. Luckily we were very busy at the ocean and other events so we had to spend minimal time in the unit. When we checked out we left a list of 25 issues. I also took pictures but no one has asked to see them for verification.
