Beach Axis, West! You can also rent the other side, or both together as a 2x5 bedroom place. Like having a 10 bedroom but with two of almost everything: kitchens, living rooms, more! When renting both sides, guests may unlock the connecting door on the deck to allow for access between the two sides without going up and down the stairs from the main entries. This is one of my guests' favorite places. Lots of repeat visitors each year! Great price for a recently completed redone beachfront duplex. RIGHT ON THE BEACH. Beach Axis is completely furnished and professionally decorated. It has a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and microwave. Beach Axis' deck is as close to the gulf as you can get in the area. Folks LOVE LOVE LOVE its gulf front decks! Most nearby units have their pool behind the homes, putting the pool between you and the beach. Not Beach Axis. Beach Axis' pool is streetside. Sit on the deck, enjoy the sunset, while most neighbors are behind you! How nice is that! The pool is private to the two sides of the duplex—not shared with any other home. One side perfect for your group, then book my Beach Axis East and Beach Axis West listings for the individual units. Take one or both, you'll have a great stay either way! The main floor BR has a bath, there are then 2 baths on each of the remaining two levels. The mystery bath that people don't see in the virtual tour is BEHIND the entry door in the 3rd level (2nd living level) south bedroom. With the entry door to the room open, you can't see the bath in some of the tours. POOL Big. Streetside. Private to the two sides of the duplex: no sharing with other places nearby. The pool is open all year. It's a big oval, 30x15x3-6'. Lounge chairs are provided around the pool. WIFI/INTERNET YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction! PARKING There is available onsite, offstreet, parking for 4-6 cars if you use space under the home and stack well. In duplex units, please be neighborly about this. SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETC As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well. PETS We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends at many locations. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Approval in a duplex location, especially for peak weeks, generally is only available for guests renting both sides of the duplex. Please inquire. No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time! That's it! We think you'll have a great stay in our home. Your home is the perfect location. We always seem to visit "The Wave" for a few items. We also like the walking path on the other block. It's nice to have extra bedrooms so our son, niece and two friends can visit at various times. I went ahead and booked for 2025 through bama beach houses. Jan 9, 2024 #### Best beachfront! Best beach front! Our Christmas gift to our adult children, spouses, and 5 grandchildren was amazing. Steps from the beach, we had the luxury of coming from the beach, to the house, to the pool. Each family had their own private floor with en-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms had balconies overlooking either the beach or pool. The open floor plan living/ kitchen area made visiting perfect. We were close enough to the action for access to restaurants, shops, and entertainment, yet far enough for a peaceful stay. We all had a blast: memories to last a lifetime ##### Sally D. Beach Axis was close enough to stores and bait shops and local restaurants but far enough away from the traffic and chaos that is Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. The sand was footsteps away with the pool and hot tub close by for a change of scenery for the kids. The house had everything we needed and enough space for our group of 13 to not feel like we were all over each other. I can't wait for our next vacay! I would definitely be back with less kids more adults because the pool is not too little kid friendly but the older ones enjoyed it. The only issue was the ice maker never made ice and a few of the lights were out. The main one was the front steps. The beds were comfy. Our 4 family groups each had plenty of room in their own space. The beach was just a short walk out the back door and when we weren’t playing in the gulf waters, we did spend some time each day in the pool. Even though it was a “shared” pool with the neighbors in the other side of this condo, we never were actually at the pool at the same time. There was plenty of parking space for our 3 large SUV’s. There was also a good area at ground level under the home with a picnic table and chairs and space to store our beach toys with a water faucet and hose for rinsing off our sandy shoes and bodies before entering the house. The kitchen was well supplied for our cooking needs and the washer/dryer was great to have available and was used almost daily. There is a local management company that is available should any problems or needs occur, but we never had a reason to contact them thus I only gave 1 star for communication with them. ##### Kaye L. When we arrived, we were supposed to be staying at beach axis west but there was already someone in that side when we got there. I called the management number and we were given a door code for the east side. Luckily there was no one in that side. It was an easy fix, just a little confusing. My mom had some issues with the cleanliness of her bathroom. I had some food that was between my bedside table and the bed. Otherwise, the unit was clean. I loved the fact that the house was right on the beach and I did not have to worry about the kids crossing a busy street to get to the beach. We enjoyed the pool and it looked to be maintained pretty well. We had some issues with the internet which was corrected by someone from your excellent, friendly staff. I also loved that we were close to stores. Location was great. Overall we had a great time. Thank you ##### Kristen F. We loved that the house was in such a great location and was so close to the beach. I loved how nice the picnic area underneath the house was. It was so nice to have so much room to store our chairs and umbrellas. A really great bonus was the separate ice maker. We loved that feature because we could fill our coolers for the beach each day and enjoy our snacks and drinks all day on the beach while they stayed cold. You really should highlight that bonus feature of the home. We did take two Yeti coolers to store our canned drinks and waters in during our stay since you did warn us that the refrigerator would take some time to cool off a lot of drinks. Thank you for warning us so we could be prepared. We visited the ice cream shop across the street at least twice and it was so good. We also ate lunch at the Beach House directly across the street and had their fish tacos. My daughter in law said they were the best she had ever had. We went to Bahama Bobs twice and loved the coconut shrimp. However, my husband's favorite place was Big Mike's Steak house near Orange Beach. We went there twice for steak....
