Stayed for 5 days with my son and one of his friends while attending a competition in Braga.
Fit, finish and cleanliness of the villa were all excellent, the gardens were immaculate and the pool was large enough for two teenage boys not to feel constrained. Easy to keep in contact with Graciete the owner by WhatsApp, who also owned the adjacent restaurant . Large terrace at the front of the property all behind electric gates made it safe and secure. The villa is one of two on site and so the pool is shared, at the time we stayed the other villa wasn’t occupied. Positives : 3 very good sized bedrooms, dishwasher, separate laundry room, a/c throughout, ample parking good sized pool , great gardens, the gallery photos don’t do justice to the quality of the interior. No real negatives, only a few observations, the upstairs bedroom has small windows so is quite dark even with all of the lights on. You will need a car , as with most of the area it’s quite hilly, it isn’t really practical to walk to the supermarket or into the town centre, having said this, the centre of Guimares is a 5 min drive as are two supermarkets. Wifi was fine in the property but wasn’t as reliable on the terrace or by the pool. Other points to be aware of, no ball games allowed ( mainly to preserve the gardens I assume ) and none of the house towels to be taken to the pool. The property was easy to relax in and if we revisit the area would happily stay again!
