A very tired old property but great position.overall a safe place to stay if you are not expecting too much from a hotel that is rated as the best in town. Breakfast pretty basic but heaps of restaurants very close.

This is an excellent place to stay when you are in Guilin. We had a clean and large room with a view to both Pogodas. Staff is very friendly and responsive. Definitely recommending this place.

Great location if you like food

Great location. Makes up for the fact it is a little old. Very packed with several conferences when I was there so it was packed. Would stay again just for the location especially with the food street behind the hotel.

We particularly liked the location of the hotel. We were very grateful that the reception staff gave such a warm welcome on arrival. The concierge was very helpful with directions and arranging taxis. The room was very clean. The spa treatment, foot massage was outstanding. Lots of choice for breakfast. However, the breakfast area was crowded, and the coffee machine kept breaking down during our stay, meaning we had no coffee on two mornings.

Great location, but they don't trust you

Great location, old glory. Really nice rooms. It is only very annoying that you have to pay 500 RMB deposit. This way the hotel tells you at first contact: "We are not going to trust you.". I hardly ever come across this anymore.

Chaotic st

The only good thing about this hotel is the view of you have a room facing the lake. Our lake view window in the room wouldn’t close properly. The bed was ok for comfort but quite high. The room was clean. The property is incredibly dated. Its mass tourism affected with loads of tourist buses arriving constantly. There is no one available to help with bags when you arrive. The staff look like they’ve given up. The dining room was chaos. On our first day, we couldn’t even find a seat to eat breakfast it was so busy at 7AM. The western breakfast option was very poor. The Chinese food we had in the hotel restaurant at night was average. The chicken was tough. Luckily there are loads of restaurants near by the hotel to eat at instead. I would not recommend this property. It’s barely 2 stars not 4.

Hotel bien situado con habitaciones amplias. Las instalaciones no están mal aunque necesitarían de renovar algunas zonas comunes, tiene una piscina climatizada muy buena y el gimnasio tenía buen pinta aunque no lo pude usar. El punto negativo y algo importante es q nuestra habitación no estuvo preparada hasta pasadas las 15:00 que era la hora del check in. No nos dieron explicación ni recompensacion por ello.

Soggiorno a Guilin

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel per tre notti, è stata la base di parte del nostro tour in Cina per poter visitare la meravigliosa zona carsica di Guilin. L’hotel è in una posizione eccellente, proprio di fronte alle due pagode vicino al fiume, ai laghi ed alla via principale del passeggio con le bancarelle del cibo e di ristoranti.

Angeblich 4 Sterne; diese waren vor 20 Jahren vermutlich angemessen. Klima-Anlage funktionierte nicht; alle Wäsche war klamm. Fenster unseres Zimmers war zum Hotelinnenraum; keine wirkliche Lüftung möglich. Tür zum Flur hat keine Schalldämmung.

Truly excellent house keeping staff especially house keeper no 711. She assisted with laundry and replaced everything I requested. The restaurant is open 24/7. The gym is located on floor 5 and is always clean. There is a large swimming pool on site. All taxi drivers have a speech translator. The hotel over looks the twin towers on the lake and has the best view. Significantly cheaper than the Sheraton hotel.
