Fabulous location but terrible service
The location is perfect but was spoilt by the unfriendly welcome and dirty shower curtain in the tiny bathroom. The hotel seemed to be run by a bunch of young people who were themselves on holiday. We felt as though we were disturbing them when we arrived, as they were having dinner on the hotel terrace, and the next morning at breakfast. Do young people not smile anymore? They certainly should not be working in the hotel and catering industry. The room was ok, quite clean, except for the bathroom which was poky and smelly. The washbasin was coming away from the wall. I recommend the hotel for its fabulous view over the sea, but certainly not for the service provided.

Great location - "Boring" breakfast
It was a very nice hotel room, small but functioning bathroom. Great location. But we were not very impressed by the breakfast. Breakfast was from 8-10am, we were there 8.20 and bread rolls and eggs were cold (eggs were hard to pill, indicating they were not very fresh), the cheese was completely without taste, the sweet pastry was also not very interesting. We would also have liked it to be organic, but none of it was.

GreT small inn by the sea
Worth paying a little extra for the view of the town/sea. An easy walk to town and cliff trails, We enjoyed talking with the owner who provided a friendly atmosphere and nice breakfast.

Cosy but not too fancy for an off-season get-away.
Shorter stay over off-season holiday. Great location in cute sea town. Close to pretty nature-walks along the coast. Got upgraded to newly renovated rooms overlooking the bay. Heating in room worked well (december), ventilation in private washrooms not so well, bed was two beds put together. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room not cleaned day to day. Breakfast was well stocked but of average quality. All in all a good deal for the area.

Charming place, best setting imaginable. Rooms small, beds good. Loved Bornholm and what a lovely spot to come home to at the end of the day.

Wonderful hotel over looking the Baltic Sea
Wonderful hotel Overlooking the Baltic in a beautiful historic town. The staff was amazing. Great a room with a terrace, well worth the extra cost.

Basic accommodation in great location
Great location. Friendly staff. Room was modest but had great views. Detached bathroom was very basic and poor drainage in the shower caused the floor to be flooded anytime the shower was used. The breakfst was incuded and was very good.

Beautiful view!
Adequate room if you're there only to sleep. Clean but small room with table & folding plastic chairs. Great view, great food in restaurant, friendly staff. Flusher on toilet stuck requiring manipulating or the water ran constantly. Overall though good value for the money.

Ingen rengøring.
Havde 3 overnatninger på dette hotel. Burde ikke hedde et hotel,men nærmere bed & breakfast. Værelset var beskidt da vi overtog det.Der blev ikke gjort rent på værelset nogen af dagene,ej heller skift af sengetøj. Sengen blev redt hver dag.Ellers absolut ingen form for service. Betalte 1500,- pr nat.Burde koste 500-600,-kr Morgenmaden er ringe.Det hele er hentet i “Netto”og af tvivlsom kvalitet. Eneste positivt var personalet,der er søde og venlige. Hold jer langt væk.Dette hotel er kun en pengemaskine.

Fantastiskt utsikt från rummet. Nära till centrum. Städningen okej. Saknade hårfön och duschtvål. Det låg 2 små påsar med duschtvål på sängen när vi kom.

Det virkede som om at personalet ingen erfaring havde i at drive hotel. På alle områder var det meget ringe. Maden var direkte dårlig, Det eneste positive jeg kan sige er at beliggenheden er rigtig god, synd at personalet ikke besidder de rigtige kompetencer.

Hi Jan, First of all thank you for your review, and for giving us a 10 despite that you mention the poor service from the staff. It seems odd what you wrote, because you had dinner every night, having many places open in Gudhjem, it catch my attention, that if you don't like the food we served, or the service we provide, you still decide to come every night. Second, about dinner, you called me specifically to tell me that it was very good, even though you thought it was pork, which wasn't and i prove it to you. Then let me mention about the service, that you broke a shelf and let me know, and was fixed without any problem. This is a very strange review, but luckily, is too different to all the other reviews we have, and to the raiting we receive from all reviews, where, of course the location is the best we have, and in second place, the staff by far. We are going to keep working to improve many things, but I am very happy with my staff. Therefore if you decide to come back, note that we all be here trying to make your stay pleasant, like we do with all the many guests who do not share your opinion.

Beliggenhed og service i topklasse.
Beliggenheden er enestående, det findes næppe skønnere i DK. Stenkast fra klipper og Østersøen, med perfekt view over Gudhjem havn, byen og klippekysten. Fint værelse, god seng, ikke prangende, men pænt rengjort. Det helt særlige ved stedet, foruden beliggenheden, er den høje standard på service. Stedet drives af unge mennesker fra især Sydamerika, der taler perfekt engelsk. Deres opmærksomhed og smilende servicering er helt særegen og i topklasse. Lækker og rigelig morgenmad. Min allerbedste anbefaling til kortere eller længere ophold.

Afmålt men høflig betjening. Ingen engagement i gæsterne. Værelset var rent men mangelfuldt. Ingen tv/radio og ingen steder at hænge våde håndklæder efter bad. God morgenbuffet med bredt udvalg. Fint lille hotel med god service
Jeg har nydt at bo på hotel Klippen. Stedet ligger fantastisk i Gudhjem og man har den skønneste udsigt, når man sidder ude og spiser. Rummene er ret små, så det egner sig bedst til kun overnatning. Er det ens behov, kan jeg varmt anbefaledes. Betjeningen er på engelsk, men det er søde og hjælpsomme mennesker. Tak for 4 dejlige dage.

Hotel med udskrift til østersøen
Dejligt beliggende hotel med søudsigt. Fantastiske værter som konstant var omkring os og beværtede os det vi ønskede, søudsigt var fantastisk.
