I arrived to this overnight, pre-airport stay and was confused initially as this is a house that someone lives in within residenciales behind the airport. The house was similar to my grandmother’s home with an overwhelming number of personal trinkets. I was given a bedroom on the first floor near the personal living room that had an entire wall that was a glass window where anyone could see in and if you close the curtain there were no windows for natural light. Awkward also, the loud television show and repeated phone calls that the homeowner took forcing me to need to use headphones. There were at least ten spiders I killed in my less than clean bathroom that boasted a widowmaker hot water system- complete with electrical wire coming out of the shower.i didn’t sleep largely in part to spiders and lack of privacy and left before 3 am. I took plenty of pics though there is not a place for them here. Plus: hot water for instant coffee and WiFi for guest use. Pretty much all the positives I can find.

The lady in the front desk was beyond amazing made us feel right at home and even gave us tips on food to order and arranged transportation for us. The bed was so comfy and alll the linens smelled beautiful. Thank you for a great night stay.

Simply wow! We stayed in a room with three beds in one room with a TV and a private room attached with a closing door and private TV. The bathtub is huge- where you (an adult) can lay down entirely. The entrance, room, and surrounding outdoor areas are beautifully arranged. The host goes above and beyond with kindness. She helped order and receive our dinner, drove my friend to the airport, and provided a nice breakfast for us. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. It’s probably the nicest Central American hostel room I have stay in. Enjoy!! We sure did!!

We do appreciate your comment to keep doing our best as possible, as humans beings mistakes could happened, our guests are well-attendend as per their requests if they reply too.

Nice place convenient to the airport, and in a safe gated area. Hotel is a bit older, but the staff are very nice. Not too far to Uber downtown

NOVOHOSTAL was ideal for us, very clean, comfortable bed, 3 minutes to sirport. Our host Lucita, was welcoming, very helpful, and speaks excelent English. Lucita arranged for a prompt cab for our very early departure.

Very convenient to the airport and Lucita is very nice, she did her best to make me welcome and comfortable. She met me at the airport with a giant sign with my name on it, you can not miss her! I highly recommend staying with Lucita.

Perfect for a nights rest before/after flying.
Very close to the airport, walking distance if you like. I have stayed there twice in the same room, the shower is good, bathroom clean, bed comfortable. The last stay I wasn't offered eggs with breakfast, just cereal, toast and a banana, but there is tea, coffee, water available any time you want it.

Clean, friendly, close to airport
The staff are very nice and personable and speak good English. Rooms are clean. Would recommend to anyone, especially vif looking for a room before an early morning flight.

Great B&B
We arrived much later than we expected and Lucita was so welcoming and understanding. Novohostal is secure, clean, very close to the airport (possibly the best location for the price you will find!) and feels like a home away from home. My husband stayed here once before so on this trip, he insisted that we go back. If you’re looking for a convenient place to stay that is low-key, clean and near the airport, this is it.

Amazing Welcome and Service
My flight was delayed three hours, pushing my arrival to almost midnight. The receptionist stayed until then even though I was the last guest to check in by a long time. She also helped me figure out my travel plans for the next day, a 10 hour bus ride that I felt that I had no chance of making but a few midnight phone calls later and they were all sorted. Awesome staff, and my comfortable room was a welcome sight after a terrible day of traveling.

Hostess with the mostess
Lupita was the "hostess with the mostest" in the truest sense of the word. Unfortunately we failed to see the email we were sent and arrived at the hostel unannounced at 6:30am. But we were received warmly and welcomed even when check in was not until 12 noon. We also observed that all guests were treated the same way. We would definitely recommend it especially if you need a place to stay near the airport.

Really good. This Hostal is more of an upscale bed and breakfast. Very nice at home feel. Clean! Comfortable. Also my flight changed and came in much later almot mid night. They made sure someone met me at the airport. Excelent neighborhood security. Very secure and private hostal / hotel. I'm very satisfied.

Hospitable and generous hosts
We were kindly greeted by Lucita, the hotel manager, who emailed us to inquire of requests for transportation from the airport and personally came to welcome us to Guatemala. Her hospitality and warm introductions to their family-run hostel cozily made us feel right at home. We had an early morning flight out to Tikal, so Lucita was kind to even arrange for our cab ride to the airport for the next morning. Such a personal touch to this stay and we will gladly come back next time!

Welcoming & Friendly
Clean, comfortable and cozy hotel with very friendly, caring staff. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, morning breakfast served, and drinks always available (tea, water, coffee). The first time I stayed here was for one quick night stop/rest after arriving to Guatemala city, as it is very close to the airport. The second time, I stayed for 3 consecutive nights. Both times I enjoyed my stay here. I highly recommend this place to anyone. You will love the staff - they are very welcoming and helpful.
