Exceptionally one of the Best Hotels in the Heart ❤️ of Guadalajara Centro. I would stay here again. Paco ( Doorman & Bellhop) & Lully ( Breakfast Host in Restaurant) Best of the Hotel.

The location is perfect walking distance to downtown Guadalajara. There’s lots of eating options around you. As for the hotel it’s self it’s always super clean and the staff was excellent. The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that we had to return to the hotel before 9:30 PM to be able to park the car in the garage. Otherwise it would stay out on the street. Also, one of the reasons we ended up selecting this hotel in particular was because it had bar. But all they had was beers which is not what we were expecting. But other than that we really liked it.

When arriving our room mid day the room was decent. We dropped off our bags and left for the afternoon. When arriving at night the room smelled disgusting like a plumbing issue. When going to the front desk I noticed the lady and her first comment was that room always has a smell issue. She refused to move us room and if we did we would be charge a difference. She offered to put Clorox in the restroom, which was ridiculous. She then lied to the manager and stated the room didn’t smell. She was very unprofessional and wouldn’t recommend staying here either.

Great historic property in the heart of Guadalajara Centro. Our room and bathroom were a bit on the small side, but the AC, hot water and other amenities were all great and the hotel was an excellent base point for exploring the city on foot and by car. Loved that it was a historic location. Restaurant offered solid basic breakfast options to start the day. A bit more personality in the rooms (decor) would go a long way 😉 but definitely would stay here again for the value.

the hotel is very central downtown , very well located, not fancy ,but clean , no amenities barely , but then again it is what is and what you are paying for .old but well kept , clean and safe , i was there for 2 nights alone no food service , no ice ,no kitchen in the night ,so either eat somewhere else or go to the oxxo crossing the street and buy munchies for dinner or later , breakfast is ok a la carte and extra pay no elevator only stairs staff was helpful carrying luggage upstairs very quiet at night they people on the night shift not so friendly not so helpful the ones in the morning very pleasing and helpful

Bastante céntrico y el staff muy amable. Tuvimos una pequeña gotera en el aire y el staff actuó de inmediato, la verdad es una muy buena opción si lo que buscas es un lugar céntrico donde puedas llegar a descasar después de visitar la ciudad.

The hotel is convininetly located. Everything from restaurants, shopping center, and beautiful historical buildings are within walking distance. The hotel also has tour packages available. The hotel also offers transportation for an extra fee. The building itself had minor plumbing issues but it was taken care of. Staff was helpful and kind.

The best in Guadaljara!
I highly recommend this hotel to families who want to stay in Guadalajara and be at walking distance to most of the attractions that Guadalajara has to offer. The hotel staff was very awesome and courteous specially Victor. Victor even arranged our taxi at 2 am since we had a very early flight and made sure we arrived safe and sound at the airport. Highly recommended. Get the family suite if you are a family !

Walking distance to cathedral do admire the history of hotel however room where we stayed was right on street side very noise all night long till early morning. Not an area to walk around at night.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The concierge,Victor, had some good advice on restaurants and places to explore. He was also very helpful with the taxi when leaving. Joel was very friendly and helpful as well. I would not have a problem in making this hotel my choice when staying in Guadalajara. Staying in the street side room was a tad noisy, but calms down later in the evening.

Where do I begin...from the outside, it looked like many of the old buildings in the area; however, once you walked through the doorway, you were greeted by staff and an impressionable view of a original architecture. The room was small, but it was only my husband and I and we didn't spend a lot of time there even though we were staying for 11 days. We only were there to sleep and shower. We purposely stayed at this hotel to get that old world charm. The staff was extremely friendly and always greeted us. We are not demanding guest but they always asked us if we needed anything. Inclusive, because we were there for 11 days, we needed more hangers than what was in the room. One of the attendants went and bought us a couple more packs. They didn't have to do that. I was willing to buy more on my own. The property is centrally located in the historic center and it is surrounded by many churches, shopping, touristic areas, restaurants, etc. within walking distances. I don't know what their larger rooms look like but if what you are looking for is old-world charm, this is the place. Note: I did read the reviews regarding paying for your stay. On Expedia, it states to pay at the hotel. I did contact the hotel to pay in advance because I wanted to ensure there were no issues when we arrived. They made it easy and were in constant communication with me. They also offer transportation from the airport.

The hotel was beautifully decorated with traditional Mexican decor. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the restaurant had good food and service. The room was a bit small but very clean.

Had our passports and other valuables stolen in less than 6 hours after we checked into our room and when we went and talked to the front desk all they could say was that yes indeed someone picked the lock and went into our room that it’s never happened before yet there is only supposed to be only one way in and one way out for hotel guest!

This was our first stay in Guadalajara and at Hotel Real de Castilla and we will be back! The hotel has a beautiful old-world charm. The staff was very friendly. Victor arranged transportation from the airport for us, and he offered help arranging tours as well. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking to the cathedral, shopping, and many restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Hotel Real de Castilla again and will recommend it to my friends!

Hotel is very well located, on a pedestrian street near of shops, restaurants, etc. Main plaza and Cathedral is only 2 blocks away. Staff very friendly. Hotel and room very clean. I would return to Hotel Real de Castilla.
