Hotel De Mendoza is well located if you want to explore the main part of the city. It is well kept and the staff are welcoming and accommodating to one's needs. It has a wonderfully view of the Centro and Catedral.

I have spent the last 30 years traveling and this was by far the worst hotel stay I have had ... I had my confirmation number and my Expedia receipt showing the I had pre-paid but they still insisted on charging me again for my two night stay. I contacted Expedia and the following day they refunded me the second charge. Skip the hotel food ... There are much better options within a ten minute walk. When we checked out, the valet brought my rental car out and there was a large dent in it. It matched the concrete shelf on the support posts perfectly. The manager and the front desk clerk both agreed (I had pictures from the rental company with no dent). They took my information, I filled out paper work describing the damage, everyone took pictures, and was told I would receive information on the insurance in a day or two. Nothing came and I reached out via email and phone for the next week daily. No call back, no email back ... Just ridiculous behavior from business. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. There is a Hilton by the church.

The hotel has a very authentic mexican vibe. Several tourist attractions are within walking distance and a good variety of restaurants too ! The staff was very helpful & very friendly. Would definitly recommend

Great location right next to Teatro degollado. Clean, great service from staff and good restaurant on sight. The best part of the place is the terrace. Spend time enjoying the sun set on the roof terrace with the view of the cathedral dome. The bathrooms are outdated especially the towels but still a great deal for the price. It’s becoming my go to hotel I. Guadalajara.

Good location if you want to be in the historical zone. Hotel is old needs some freshening up. Our room was at the back of the property view from window was not the prettiest. OK for a quick night visit. The restaurant on the main floor was adequate for breakfast and dinner. Overall it was a good experience at a reasonable price.

Hotel staff are great very helpful and friendly , hotel was very clean 5 stars building needs upgrades, elevator card needed to access floor does not work multiple guest had same issue , sink did not drain , carpets outdated and worn out , room had a low step into balcony very unsafe I triped 4 times food at restaurant was not good , staff at restaurant was very friendly and helpful

The woman at the check in counter was very friendly and spoke English. We were shown to our room by one of the staff who explained the ins and out of the hotel. The hotel is very close to the Historical center of town which is easily walked.
