We loved our stay here. The balcony with Mountain view’s was spectacular. The staff was extremely helpful and kind throughout our enjoy stay. 5/5.

Everyone working there was super helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the shower surprisingly had fantastic water pressure. The building is quite old so you can hear anyone in a room next to you and above you quite clearly. The rooms were smaller than expected and a bit more “backpacker” style than what I envisioned. The location is up the hill from town which was fine for us (we don’t mind the walk) but we also had free access to the local bus that we took advantage of a couple of times during our 4 day stay. If I was in my 20s again I’d be happy with everything about the hotel, however in my mid 30s I think I’ve outgrown the elevated backpacker style of accommodation.

As we tend to belong to the cheaper hotel category, we are a little surprised by the classification of backpacker, but we take note of it. With kind regards

Everything about this hotel was great. We had a great stay, the owners were extremely helpful is giving us direction on what to do and whats happening around in the area. The property was easy to find - a short bus ride from the main train station. The cleanliness is top notch.

Amazing view of the Eiger from the balcony! Staff was warm and made our stay very comfortable. Bus stop is right across the hotel and guests get a free bus card to get around the area. We took the bus everyday to get to Grindelwald First and Grindelwald Terminal for access to various activities. Tickets for cable cars and other activities can be purchased at the hotel itself which was very convenient.

Great hotel with great view
I stayed in a room with great view of Eiger. Great hotel for a family. Breakfast was lovely. They served the best scrambled egg in the world👍

Hotel is beautiful and the views are amazing. Staff is very friendly, breakfast was great. I would suggest you get a ride or catch the bus. It’s just over a mile walk from the train station.

Beautiful view of the Eiger
Beautiful view, clean rooms, nice, hot shower, comfortable beds. Breakfast was great. Cappuccino machine, scrambled eggs, lots of juices, and various other things for breakfast, fresh bread and croissants.

The property was very clean, beautiful and it was an amazing stay. Service: The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were willing to give directions and options. Breakfast: The breakfast was amazing, the quality of the food was outstanding, the bread, milk and cheese was always fresh and local. You also had the option to make your own boiled eggs. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. The options and quality of food was very good. The Room: the room was spotless and very charming. One thing we had to get used to was the separation of the shower and toilet, but it was an easy adjustment. The internet was high speed. Location: You can walk down to the terminals at ease. Coming up, you can take a bus that stops exactly in front of the hotel or walk up too. It was a good location, away from all the business of the terminals and shops but easily accessible. A very quiet and relaxing location with a view of the Alps. It was gorgeous!!!

Location was great and beautiful views of the Eiger. Breakfast was wonderful, many options and Cafe was delicious. All employees were welcoming of English speakers, very friendly and helpful. We arrived after hours and they were very accommodating.

We love Hotel Lauberhorn <3
Excellent location, excellent room, excellent service, excellent breakfast:)) Staffs were chatty and helpful. We missed the last bus on our day of arrival and Beni (the owner) came to pick us up at the train station. Hotel is a bit further away from town but it’s still walkable and they gave out free bus passes for transportation between hotel and town. We would definitely love to stay here again if we come back to Grindelwald in the future!

Don’t be fooled by all the great reviews!
It was like staying at someone’s home when your not feeling welcome. We should have read the other reviews as we had the same exact bad experiences. Check in staff were rude and now hospitable. Very rarely do we write a bad review but this time a bad review was needed especially for families with small children. The first comment when seeing our 6 month old was “we are not a baby hotel.” We pre-booked two nights and left after the first knowing we would lose the cash.

Nice breakfast. On the room that sleeps 4, 2 are in bunk beds that are less than six feet long. The property is very far from the town of Grindelwald, and the shuttle advertised does not actually exist.

Hello we're sorry you weren't comfortable with us. due to the good mountain climate in grindelwald, air conditioning is not necessary yet. the best way to air-condition, is open window after sunset.

We had an amazing stay! Great views, great rooms, great breakfast and very great owners. We loved every bit of our stay here and in Grindelwald. I highly recommend this place

Very helpful staff who greeted us, they explained the system for accessing the hotel outside of their manned reception hours. The hotel had a non corporate feel. The position of the hotel was away from the main bustle of Grindelwald, but was also a short 10 minute walk and even quicker using the buses with the free bus pass provide by the hotel. All rooms had a view of the mountains (if the clouds allowed) and we were pleasantly surprised that the 3 bedroom room we had booked the single bed for our daughter was effectively a room separated from us. I would recommend this hotel

Great location, great B&B, the hosts Connie and Beni are attentive, welcoming, very knowledgeable about the area and activities and happy to help with awesome recommendations on what to do. They provide access to tickets to gondola, trains, bus, etc at reduced pricing - no standing in lines for tix! It was a great experience I hope to return soon.

Great hotel in a beautiful local.
This hotel is up the hill from the busy part of town. Views are amazing. Breakfast was substantial, hosts were friendly and helpful. We loved the beds and room decor.

I liked being able to arrive early and get organised because they were already ready. I liked that they had a small library to choose from during down time.

Love it!
Incredibly beautiful area. Very nice lodging with helpful staff knowledgeable about things to do. We received a room upgrade. Some have complained about the window between the bed and bathroom but it’s not an issue and there was a blind that can be closed in our room. Very good breakfast!

Great location, clean and comfortable room with beautiful view! breakfast was terrible - a complete waist of money! It looked like we were served leftovers as it was the last day of season... hotel owner was really not nice and gave us poor service. won't be recommending this hotel despite its location and view.
