"For my one-night, pre-cruise stay it was sufficient - clean bed, quiet - but the hotel is older and looking a little long in the tooth (scaffolding outside the front of the hotel didn't help - but I suppose that's a good sign that they're maintaining/updating the property). On check-in they gave my room to another guest (other than an awkward encounter, with both of us going back down to the front desk, it was no problem). Passed on the breakfast - they said it can be hit-or-miss (in terms of food remaining) and (in my opinion) was pricey for what you got. But if you're leaving from the Horizon Cruise Terminal it's really hard to beat - less than a half-mile walk from the lobby to boarding ship - and it's about that same difference to walk to the center of town. Based on location alone I'd recommend and stay there again if in Southampton."
