Its surrounded by beautiful bush and trees and would be ideal in all seasons. The bed was comfortable, sheets were nice and the communication was great. This place is wonderful for families, friends or couples. There isn't any wifi, but that didn't bother us. Would try to book villa #2 next time, as villa #1 was a bit tight with our two tweens sharing the pull-out. Had read in another review that there was laundry facilities, but just be forewarned that there is not (not a complaint though!). Maybe in villa 2? Nearest laundromat was in Greymouth, so just plan ahead. Beach hideaway was spotlessly clean with a fully equipped kitchenette and a beautiful bathroom. Wood hot tub was a nice treat. Nice little fireplace to take chill off on colder evenings. It's much further from the beach than we thought, and the road to it was flooded during our visit, so we accessed it by driving to a different road. Fantastic spot to stop on the west coast road with lovely gardens and views. You will need to self cater as nearest cafe/take away is 20 Kms away but fully equipped house with Sky tv if needed. We had the two bedroom cottage and it was huge. It has a beautiful outlook to the west coast. It was a shame it was wet so we couldn't enjoy the fire pit. However the hot tub was lovely.
