Faye. Thank you for the review. We are glad that you enjoyed yourself. I'm sorry that you felt rushed to be out by 10. We put that restriction to make sure to give our cleaners sufficient time to prepare for the incoming guests. In the future, if you ever need additional time, and we do not have other guests coming the same day, we are always happy to be as flexible as we can with the check out time. George. Thank you for your review. I have since updated our description page to reflect that it comfortably sleeps 12 with additional room for others to sleep on floors, couches, etc. You are correct in that we did have a 3rd bed upstairs, and have since removed it. I have since updated our page to reflect that. As for the 20, I believe you are referring to the maximum guests we allow, which states 20. The number of guests it says it sleeps was 16, and I changed it to 12 which is based on the number of beds, but the maximum of total people we allow to sleep is 20. Ashleigh. Thank you for your extensive review of your stay. As I mentioned in our description, we take all suggestions, positive and negative. I'm happy to discuss any of these issues further, but I would like to take the liberty to leave a response here so that others thinking of staying at our property can see how we have responded and addressed them. 1. Dogs. As you mentioned, I have no control of my neighbor's dogs, unless I want to put up a wall to block the sound, which is not too reasonable since it would have to be a large wall. Normally this is not an issue and these neighbors do not stay at the lake very often and or do not bring their dogs. I completely understand your frustration and had you contacted me during your stay and let me know it was an issue, I could have texted them and asked for their help. They are great neighbors and have done a lot for us and helped, so doing something like calling police or animal control honestly would be very difficult for me. Again, I understand your frustration during your stay. 2. Playground - In the interest of safety for all children, we have removed the playground and once I get a break when we don't have renters, I will invest in a new playground for future guests. 3. Shower - We have addressed the drain in the shower and it is draining normally now. 4. A/C - I'm not really sure why you were having difficulty with the AC. I know sometimes it may take a little while to cool down with the hot weather we have been having, but it should cool the upstairs very well, and especially at night it should be very comfortable. As you mentioned in your review, I am very responsive to issues and I wish you had contacted me if this was an issue because there may have been some thermostat setting that I could have helped with that would have made it cool better. I was there just the other day working upstairs in 95° weather and it was very cool upstairs and downstairs. I'm sorry that you feel it did not cool enough. 5. Towels - I believe the issue was resolved like you mentioned while you were there. Since then, we have also added additional towels and we should have 21 towels located there for guests. Unfortunately the cleaners ended up taking the towels home with them to wash and did not notify us. In closing, thank you for your review. I hope you will come back in the future for another stay and we will use your critiques and suggestions to improve our home.
