The worse hotel ever.
wasting money, I contacted Greek authority to find out who rate this hotel as *5 and why, still wating for answers. The worse hotel ever. Plenty nice hotels around don't even try to book this.

Rooms were really nice but the hotel is not like pictures. It's quite far from town so we hired a car. Not great for what you pay. Food while all inclusive is average and the beach it was on not the best in crete. The beds were really comfy and if you have a car I guess it's okay we didn't spend much time at the hotel.

Deludente,cucina pessima,spiaggia sporca
A guardare dalle foto civetta messe dall'albergo e tutta un'altra cosa, la cucina era pessima e ripetitiva, al bar esterno della spiaggia piscina offrivano delle orribili pozioni birra a parte, lo standard medio dei servizi e della struttura nel suo complesso e forse da 3 stelle non certo da 5 stelle come si propongono loro !! non si capisce come riescano a spacciarsi per 5 stelle (non hanno la minima idea di come è un'Hotel e 5 Stelle!!) le autorità preposte al turismo dovrebbero intervenire. Si salva il personale tutto sommato abbastanza cordiale, la posizione dell'Hotel e della spiaggia questa fra l'altro molto sporca ma poi niente altro. Per lo standard 2/3 stella forse può andare bene siamo distante anni luce dalle 4/5 stelle !! Su otto giorni di permanenza per quanto concerne la pulizia della camera un giorno non si è visto nessuno hanno lascito la camera da fare, dulcis in fundo l'ultimo giorno si sono dimenticati di rifornirci della carta igienica !! Mai successo neanche in centro-america !!

Et ok hotel til pengene. All inklusiv fungerer fint men maden er noget kedelig og mangler tydeligt en rigtig kok. Poolområdet og den tilhørende strand trækker helt klart hotellet op.

Varning!
Vi kom på em 30.4 2014 och lämnade hotellet innan frukost morgonen därpå...Djupt besvikna. Vill vi klassa hotellet 2 stjärnor.High speed internet på rummet fungerade ej.Beach bar stängd.Pooler tomma på vatten under reparation? (Buffen) bestod av endast 2 rätter inkl sönderkokt lamm samt ngt oidentifierbart .Sällsynt otrevliga kvinnliga receptionister.Bartendern helt okunnig att göra drinkar. Betalade vid ankomsten för hela veckans vistelse. Fick dock ej åter en enda euro då vi lämnade hotellet. Välj absolut ej detta hotell.

Golden Sand Boutique Hotel is a fine hotel that provides good value for money. However one should be aware that the hotel is located a 15 minutes drive from Rethymnon and that there are no attractions in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The hotel is attractive to those who want to spend the holidays at the hotel since it is located directly on a lovely beach. But if you want the opportunity to stroll along the seafront, you are better off to choosing a hotel closer to Rethymnon. Note that the hotel's all-inclusive menu is limited in the off-season period, which is not mentioned on the hotel's own website

Hotellet hadde tydeligvis ikke 'gått seg til' for sesongen. Utrenet betjening, området omkring poolen under arbeid og uten servering, harde senger, kun ett tysk program på TV - som bare sendte snooker VM. Meget enkel mat i 'All inclusive' menyen. Reklamerer med sandstrand, men mye sten i sanden og kun sten i vannet. Meget godt renhold og tiltalende lokaler. Hotellets plassering for langt unna shopping etc.
