The great room features two leather sleeper sofas, a wood burning fireplace, a 50-inch TV with Satellite, Wi-Fi and a Foosball table - providing a relaxing getaway! A fully equipped kitchen makes preparing meals a snap. Don’t want to stay inside? Grill a steak on the charcoal grill on the deck while enjoying the mountain views. The main level bedroom features a comfy queen bed and satellite TV. A hall bath is located on the main level that has both a tub and shower. Upstairs is another bedroom with a queen bed, satellite TV, and a full bath with stand-up shower. Paperwork and communication was great and receiving entry code by text was extremely convenient. Cabin was clean, and despite the few dead bugs, not much of an issue. The shower is very small and the showerhead squirts water in every direction making it very hard to shampoo and rinse your hair. Lots of potential, but needs TLC and furnishing updates as everything appears to be original and from the 1980’s. Upstairs shower was too tiny for use, even for a small person. Shower heads in both bathrooms were terrible, more washcloths should be supplied, as well as a new mattress for upstairs. It was very uncomfortable. If the total price per night was the base $136 as advertised we would have been more understanding, but after all fees we paid $224 per night which is greatly overpriced. The cabin was tucked in the mountains with a beautiful morning and sunset view of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook and enjoy a cup of coffee. We did have a change of property due to a maintenance issue with the original booking, but the property management folks were very helpful and provided this (actually an upgrade for the same cost). The location is great for West Jefferson and Grayson Highlands State Park. The cabin was clean and had everything you need as far as kitchen accessories. We loved the natural wood burning fire place and had a fire each night. The only two negatives were the stink bug infestation (I realize they are part of nature and difficult to control, but still very annoying) and the upstairs shower is really too small to use, since there was only two of us we used the downstairs shower but preferred the upstairs bedroom. Overall it was a nice cabin and stay. ##### Kelly M.
