"The resort is beautiful and the staff makes you feel welcome and the area is very picturesque. We had food in one of their Italian restaurants.... Limon which was terrible. Breakfast restaurant was amazing every morning since we were there for the Belgian GP. The walls inside are painted black in the hallways and room entrance which gives you a nightclub vibe..... Not sure if that's appropriate for a resort. I would give this place 4.5 stars."

Greenfields Glamping Durbuy
Durbuy
6.8 out of 10, (3 reviews)
"The facilities are large, but the cleanliness is truly awful. The heated pool is filthy, and the bathrooms and showers are so disgusting and full of mold and filth that you'd rather not shower to avoid catching a fungal infection. They cut off the electricity and water for four hours one day to trim the trees without warning. They closed the pool because of the power outage, but the restaurant had electricity and water. We had to go to a café in town to use the bathroom. I don't recommend this...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Grand Bru?
The best area to stay in Grand Bru is the central part of the village itself, particularly around the church and the main square.

This area forms the heart of Grand Bru, offering a convenient base for exploring the local countryside. You'll find a selection of guesthouses and holiday rentals here, often housed in traditional stone buildings. The main square provides a gathering point, and you're never far from walking paths that lead into the Ardennes forests.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find this central village area ideal. You can enjoy strolls through the village, dine at local eateries, and easily access walking and cycling routes directly from your accommodation. The focus here is on quiet enjoyment and the natural surroundings.

For those seeking more seclusion and direct access to nature, staying in one of the holiday cottages or chalets just outside the village centre, located closer to the forest edges, is an excellent option.
When is the best time to go to Grand Bru?
The best time to visit Grand Bru is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months, when the weather is pleasant and the natural beauty of the Ardennes is at its peak.

Spring brings blossoming flowers and lush greenery, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and cycling. The temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 10°C to 18°C, superb for exploring the region's trails and charming villages without the summer crowds. This period is particularly good for couples looking for scenic walks and tranquil moments.

Autumn offers a spectacular display of colourful foliage across the forests, creating a picturesque backdrop for your visit. The weather remains comfortable, usually between 8°C and 15°C, making it another excellent time for outdoor adventures and enjoying the local produce at markets. Families might enjoy this time for gentle hikes and exploring the natural parks, as the cooler temperatures are very agreeable.

While summer (June to August) is also popular, with warmer temperatures averaging 20-25°C, it can be busier with tourists.
