This spectacular home sits directly on Unicorn Cay Beach, a mile-long stretch of pink sand on the prestigious Banks Road of Governors Harbour, the prime location on Eleuthera. Famous Tippy's restaurant is a 5-minute walk down the beach. The town of Governors Harbour, with restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and banks, is less than 5 minutes away by car. Unicorn Cay is usually deserted, so don't be surprised if you have this mile of pink sand entirely to yourself. Palisades' grand bay windows provide a 50-mile, 180-degree view of the turquoise ocean and pink sands below. These hurricane proof glass windows are engineered to withstand up to 200 mph of direct wind. The glass has a special tint to help keep the house cool. Right outside of these windows, you will find yourself standing on a cascading deck that spans three levels and 60 feet onto the sands of Unicorn Cay Beach. This luxury home features all natural stone throughout, including marble, travertine, granite, and river rocks. With 3200 square feet of interior living area, Palisades offers plenty of space for large groups to spread out, including game rooms with pool and foosball. Enjoy our spectacular new oceanfront infinity pool with stunning ocean views. The pool can be heated at your option for $500/week. Here are rooms. Downstairs rooms: The Great Room Enjoy the expansive, modern Great Room luxuriously decorated in a contemporary style. The room features 26 feet of cathedral ceiling with windows that showcase the Bahamian waters and clear skies. Sit back and watch your favorite movies in high definition Blu-Ray and DVD. The Dining Room The dining room consists of a beautiful hand-carved dining table seating eight. Nearby, bay windows with comfortable seats allow a breathtaking view of the pink sand beaches. The Kitchen This spacious kitchen includes a huge island, exotic granite countertops, and state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee from our coffee maker. The Master Bedroom This bedroom has a king and en-suite master bath. Walk into the tropical bedroom and glance over at the breathtaking beach view right beside you. Walk out to the balcony and enjoy the morning sun and feel the breeze. The Master Bathroom This classic bathroom includes a toilet, 2 sinks and a quality glass shower. A spacious closet is provided to store your belongings. Guest Bedroom 1 Step into a gorgeous little room for two and relax. The bedroom includes a queen sized bed, next to an oversized full bathroom, and a balcony. The Kids Bedroom This colorful room is especially designed for kids of all ages to enjoy a fun place to hang out after hours in the sun. The room includes 2 sets of bunk beds and a pull-out bed to sleep at least 5 guests, (a large full bathroom is shared with Guest Bedroom 1). Powder Room A half bath is located between the kitchen and the main living room. Upstairs rooms: Guest Bedroom 2 This room is located on the second floor of the house including a balcony with a stunning view. It includes a queen bed and a bathroom right next door. The Family Room The family room offers comfort and entertainment to visitors with its contemporary theme and style. Play a game of foosball or enjoy a movie on the flat screen. The Billiard Room Sit down and relax at the Billiard Room or enjoy a fun game of pool after a long day at the beach. The Loft Palisades also has a loft that can sleep 4 more guests on our available inflatable mattresses. The area is furnished with a living room set and a flat screen satellite TV. Amenities include AC throughout, Starlink super-fast internet, back-up generator, filtered water, 2 flat screen TVs with cable TV, pool table, foosball, ping pong, washer/dryer, 2 palapas on the beach, 3 kayaks, many beach chairs and towels, and 2 extra inflatable beds. The view is unmatched. The pool was breathtaking overlooking the turquoise waters. The location was private and five doors town from the popular restaurant and hang out, Tippy’s. The upstairs shower has a problem regulating the temp and due to a holiday, our house manager only checked on us the day before we left. However we managed using the other two showers. Other than that, everything was great! Went snorkeling, used the kayaks a ton, saw sharks (little lemons and a nurse - nothing to worry about, rays and dolphins right in front of the house. Walked to Tippy's every other day for lunch. Relaxed in the infinity pool at the end of each day with perfect view of the beach below. We only explored the island one day (Glass window, Queen's bath and Hatchet bay caves) because we didn't want to leave the property as it had everything we needed to unwind and enjoy the perfection that is Eleuthera. Sherman was awesome and only a phone call away for any help that was needed and the owners were immediately responsive to answer any questions we had. ##### Jason M. The caretaker, Mr. Culmer was there as well, and he said we could just leave our luggage in the garage while we waited for the cleaning crew to finish. We walked to Tippy’s to wait, because that’s what you do on Banks Rd! That was a little hiccup right at the start of the trip, but everything else was just as expected. The house has just about everything one needs and if something is missing, the caretaker, Sherman, will take care of it. He is truly a lovely man who grew up on the island and was extremely helpful. A few things to note: you're on an island so while the house may come with internet, that doesn't mean it is always working in the community. We didn't have access the first three days. The house is also dated but this is a Bahamian Island. It's palatial compared to many of the villas and local homes. Groceries and personal items are difficult to come by if you are looking for certain things. For pharmacy items, bring them with you. Get eggs and fresh produce at stands on your way from the airport. We found two great ones: one in Hatchet Bay and the other in Palmetto Point (Island Farm). And while you're there, ask Sherman to open some fresh coconuts for you. It's completely worth it. ##### Gina R. First off, I would like to say that we were 7 adults, 1 teen and 4 children. The house is located in central Eleuthera which allows you to do excursion to the north or south parts of the island. We enjoyed the kayaks, the snorkel masks, day trips to Spanish Wells, Harbour Islands, and many days relaxing on that magnificent beach. Wow what a beach. Close by there is a reef which we saw sting rays, a lobster, many fishes. Plus the local restaurants were great, ‪Tippys (walking distant)‬, 1648 and The Buccaneer Club (are close by). Regarding the house, it fit us comfortable, it was clean and the two different tv areas was great for the kids, well supplied. Views are amazing!! This time with the family here will be cherished forever and looking forward to next time! ##### Miyenu G.
