My Washington trip
Good location for Mt Washington and White Mountains. Quite peaceful considering roadside location. Comfortable bed. Good cooking facilities. Place needs a little work on doors etc, some of which didn’t close very well. Would stay again.

There were a lot of spiders in the room. It took us an hour to kill all of them..nothing had been dusted for a long time. The temperature went down into the 40’s overnight and there was no heat. I would never stay there again.

Okay Karen, agreed the boilers were not on in August. Still not. Just happily refunded a room this week who wanted AC. I am personally in every room, every day & my rooms are immaculate.. Wish you would have come to see me after checking in, I'd have refunded your money immediately, & sent you on your way. We like happy guests here!

Although this is an older motel, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and the room was very clean. We would absolutely stay here again parking up front is a little tight but they have plenty of bigger vehicle and trailer parking around back.

The rooms did not have a/c. They were gracious enough to refund me so I could find another place. (It was a very hot weekend) I would say the people here are nice and the rooms seem basic but clean, but If temp control is important to you, look for another spot.

Owners are fantastic. Great pkace to stay for ruding the trails. Adter a day on the trails, come back sit outside and visit with friends. Chais outside fir every room.

It is an older style property but clean and tidy. The only problem we had was the water was cold one day. There was three of us so I was the third shower. Overall, pretty bare bones but it was clean and the price was right!

nice pool. 2 bedroom efficiency is dated but clean and gas all we need. the wifi is strong. shopping and restaurants nearby. the mountain views are stunning. i wish there was a couch or lazyboy chair, not just 4 hard chairs.

Late summer stay
Needed a one night stay on the way to Maine, saw this online and booked. Checkin was fast, friendly and courteous. Room neat and clean. Everything we needed. The whole place was great with flowers everywhere, my wife thought it was very cute.

We rented the room with 2 separate bedrooms. It was very clean and convenient when you have children. The beds were a little too hard and they had no comfortable seating. You either sit on wooden chairs or the beds. Other then that the place was great! Staff was friendly upon check in and check out. They stocked our room daily with towels, soap, and TP. The kitchen area was well stocked with dishes to cook with and utensils and cups. Had everything you would need in a kitchen with a big refrigerator. I would stay here again. Just wish the beds were softer and there were different seating options.

Hotel’s.Com integrity damaged
I’d like to tell you about our stay but unfortunately we could not make our reservation. We tried to move the reservation but hotels.com contacted the motel to see if they could and were told NO and the penalty was the loss of the single nights charge. This fell in line with the cancellation rules. But the motel called me at 8:30pm on our arrival date to ask where we were. I explained the situation and the motel said we could have received a refund if they were told of the move/cancellation AND then they were successful in rebooking the room. So, it’s hard to say who was not “serving” me. In the future, in addition to contacting hotels.com, I will also contact the motel/hotel directly to negotiate in my best interest. But I do question hotels.com’s integrity at this point.

It seems your subpar rating is directed more towards your interaction with the travel site you booked with than with our property. Unfortunately, the property is what gets rated in reviews. We did our best to accommodate your needs. The first time we were contacted to change your dates, we were able to do so, and at no cost to you. The date asked for on your second change request was unavailable as we were sold out. No cancellation was made. As a matter of course, any guest who hasn’t arrived as our office closing time approaches, we contact to make arrangements for them to access their room. Being a small property, we do have a 7-day cancellation policy, but we also understand that things come up. Whenever someone must cancel within those 7-days, we make every effort to rent the room and avoid charging the 1-night fee. Unfortunately, in this case, the reservation was never cancelled so we could not attempt to re-rent it. I don’t believe the booking site had any ill intentions, we certainly did not.

The motel was nice and clean. The rooms are small but that’s OK. I wish they have a microwave inside the room. The room was too cold at night. I was kind of scared, taking a shower because the window didn’t really have much privacy. Furthermore, all of that will come back again.
