The Golspie Inn is a nicely located Highland Hotel that I've visited before.
Our check in was fine and straight forward.
The room was clean and had decent facilities, but notwithstanding the location, I didn't feel it justified the pricetag.
The main bar area was closed so we had drinks at the restaurant bar.
The restaurant had a steady influx of people, But the two staff couldn't cope, to the point where the female staff member was quite rude to us, because we were talking and she couldn't concentrate !!!.
I understand staffing can be problematic, but the cause of that nights problems were them accepting too many diners. That said, when it arrived, the food was very good.
Overall, a disappointing experience and given the costs involved, regrettably just not worth it.

The room was clean and spacious and the staff were pleasant. Parking easy. Food available but not spectacular. The building is in need of some attention.
The Golspie Inn appeared to have an old world charm, but lacked many basic requirements to make this a reality. Rooms were clean, some parts renewed, but the carpet in our room was only fit for the bin. The staff need basic training in how to treat customers. Cooked food was good, cooked breakfast was good, but their ‘continental’ option was a yogurt and a piece of toast. On our second morning we were greeted with ‘I didn’t know you were booked for breakfast. What do you want?’
Also, on the second morning, we had no hot water.
So much potential, just somewhat lacking.
A nice stay for one night on our travels, albeit a tad expensive for the room. Great service from the manager Amanda, who was very welcoming and efficient.

satisfactory, food was excellent and good choices,
Charming country inn close to Dunrobin Castle and other spots of interest. Large, comfortable, and newly updated rooms. Good dining for breakfast and dinner.
Stayed one night whilst on a road trip. Hotel allowed us to securely park out motorbikes round the side. Staff were friendly and rooms comfortable and clean. Nice food too. Would stay again
The accommodation is a quaint inn located in very close proximity (minutes drive) to Dunrobin Csstle. The building is old (floor creaks) but had an updated bathroom. The room was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The staff were great: attentive, friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a meal at the inn’s restaurant. For such a small establishment, the food offerings were quite varied, and very tasty.
