Although listed as a hotel, the Hydrangea feels more like an exclusive homestay. Joanie is the perfect host: she’s so warm, welcoming, and friendly – and, as other guests have already said, her breakfasts are absolutely delicious. The rooms are comfy, cozy, and quirky. The location is a short drive or 10-15 minute walk to Gloucester centre along a beautiful seafront path. While everything about the Hyrdrangea is lovely and comfortable, it was Joanie who made our stay such a memorable one. This is a beautiful, historic property within walking distance of downtown Gloucester. The owner served an outstanding breakfast each morning.
