The rest of the room was grubby and either dirty or very dusty with black marks and scratches on the paintwork all over the room. There was a broken wine glass, missing curtain rings on the curtains and electric sockets which didn't work. When I raised this with teh hotel they simply said it was due a "deep clean next week". The room was big and there was a microwave, cooker and fridge plus plates etc all you would need to make your meals although we only made breakfast. The cleanliness was OK, I wouldn't say sparkling but it definitely wasn't dirty. The cutlery and some of the utensils are a bit tired. The TV is very small for the size of the room. The bathroom is wee but adequate, the shower is huge and there was plenty hot water. The bathroom extractor fan seems to vent into the bedroom! The room we were in was like a basement room at the back but perfectly adequate, there was a sheltered patio area immediately outside but it was used by smokers so we didn't open the one "normal" window in the room.
