« Under Canvas does a good job of filling a particular niche of accommodation. My review is in comparison with another one in the Black Hills one year ago which had a much larger lounge and dining area, and was situated in a quiet location. The Glacier location is just off the noisy main road through the park, with railroad tracks running alongside it and trains rumbling and whistling at all hours of the day and night.

« We love to visit NP lodges and Lake McDonald lodge did not disappoint. The staff from check-in to check-out were friendly, very helpful and always listening for ways to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. We ate onsite at the Fireside Dining Room and Lucke's Lounge--food cooked to our request, service consistent, and prices reasonable considering location.
