Spacious and comfortable house
The owner made us very welcome and kept in touch before, during and at the rnd of the stay. The house is spacious, clean and caters for larger groups very well. Location is just 15 min walk from the cathederal and all if the bars. Pool was great, given the july temperatures. Supermarket is a few hundred yards away too Highly recommended.

Could not be happier!
It was hot in Girona in June, so we wanted a place with a pool, especially since it was a cycling trip and we knew we would need to cool down afterwards. This house was incredible. Everything worked great... the outside grill, the pool, the table tennis, the washer, the air conditioning and the coffee machine! We also loved that it was fairly close to a wonderful coffee shop and grocery store up the hill on Mont Juic. In terms of the location... it is a tough walk up 'the snake' road to get to the house, but the bus stop is not too far away and that works out pretty well (runs every 15 minutes during daytime) And best of all, Lluis was amazing. He gave us some great advice and was just a joy to work with.

Amazing villa with so much space and stunning views over Girona. Great for a group. 4 doubles and 1 bunk and single Owner went above and beyond and was the most pleasant and helpful owner I have had the pleasure of knowing Can't recommend this place enough

Love! Love! Love!
First of all, the house is even nicer than it looks on line. This is a beautiful mid-century modern home restored to absolute perfection. Lluis is the ultimate host and was very helpful with planning our stay in Girona. Girona is an absolute gem. We walked down to town every day and took taxis back at up night. Other notable wonders about the house: really cold air conditioning, a built in espresso maker and milk frother, lovely hot showers and nice linens. I’m already planning a trip back with my husband. I actually like Girona better than Barcelona and next time will plan on day trips by train to see the Barcelona sights.

A Great Week
The house is tucked on the hillside of Montjuic with a view of the whole valley and a glimpse of the Cathedral. A bit difficult to find on the first time so pay attention to Lluis's directions. The (not large) pool was perfect. Lluis was very helpful, accomodating and friendly and we managed to sort out a few little problems like missing dishes etc. There should be more towels and the pillows (Ikea) were tiny and very soft. We were 5 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of room and privacy and our stay was very enjoyable. A lovely place in an alomst rural setting - but there are a couple of large supermarkets nearby - especially the Carrefour. The walk downhill into town is really nice and takes you right to the Cathedral and beyond. Going back we took taxies which are easy to find near Independence square. Lluis had good suggestions and directions - thank you, Lluis! On the whole we had a very good week at La Magrana.

Perfect Holidays
Check in was very smooth. Considering that we was changing arrival time few times, property owner Liuis was waiting us. Property owner really nice and friendly guy. Provide us lot of information about restorans, bars, beaches ant other nice places and activities around property. House perfect with beauty view to Girona center. Warm and always clean swimming pool. Barbecue are and other stuff. So thanks for Liuis for hospitality.

Beautiful and relaxing Girona getaway!
Lluis met us at the property and gave us a thorough tour, including helpful tips on where to go in Girona, the location of the best walking paths down to the city center, restaurant suggestions, etc. An extremely friendly and helpful host! The house itself is well maintained, and quite comfortable. It easily accommodated our party of 8, with room to spare. The pool was a lovely escape from the heat, and a special treat for our kids. The views from the house (especially the upstairs terraces at night) were spectacular. I would recommend this place without reservations. Thanks, Lluis!

Rov and his family have been a great guests. Most of them were children and even so they took care of the house. They left the house in a good shape, clean and tidy. They followed the house's rules and good communication with. To have had Rov as a guest was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Rov to all the owners.

The perfect host
We had a fabulous holiday at La Magrana. It all begins and ends with our host Liuis. Lluis is a person who loves people and this bears on all the aspect of the visit with him. It starts with the very warm welcome and a very effective orientation on Girona and the region. Then there is this large and cozy leaving room, which allows nice family gatherings, the perfect mattresses that allow a good night sleep, the good size swimming pool, the fully equipped kitchen, which allows you to play Spanish chef. The thing that impressed me most, was the fact that Lluis proveds you with 5 options to prepare your morning coffee: a Nespresso machine, an elaborate coffee maker with freshly grounded beans, a drip coffee device, an Italian machinata, and for those who prefer it, instant coffee. This just shows Liuis's care for his guests

Baruch has been a great guest. He's a nice and kind person, cheerful disposition, easy-going and honest. A very trustworthy person. He's also adventurous because he asked me for an special place's tips (non-tourist spots) and I think he got them right. He left the house spotless and followed the house's rules. Good communication with them as well. I strongly recommend Baruch to everyone, he'll treat your place like is own.

Aleix was friendly and easygoing. It was a pleasure hosting Aleix and his roller hockey team. They followed the house's rules and good communication with. They left the house clean and tidy, getting it back in a very good condition. Highly recommend Aleix and his mates to everyone!

Location and standard of the property first class with a beautiful 15 minute walk to the centre of Girona. This was only surpassed by the help given by the host Lluis. His advice and availability was brilliant. He even arranged for a local chef to come to the house and cook a superb paella for 8. We will definitely return

Alison's group were kind and friendly. A trustworthy group of people. They took some biking days and enjoyed the warm weather outdoors. Pete is also a gracious person. Peaceful Villa with Exceptional Host
As others have commented, this is a lovely villa, very spacious, set on a quiet hillside overlooking Girona. We enjoyed walking up and down the steps (of which there are many) to the old town, but we also used the bus. The easiest option for us was to ask Lluis to arrange for a taxi, which he did with very good grace. The kitchen is well equipped, and includes a coffeemaker which grinds beans freshly for each cup. Beds and bedding very comfortable. We visited in October whilst it was still hot, and there were a number of mosquitoes around so I would advise visitors to bring repellent. This is a great option for a group of friends as there are 4 bathrooms and a separate toilet for 5 bedrooms.

the most relaxing week we’ve ever had 🌞😃
we stayed at the la magrana villa for 1 week starting 07/07/18.. there war 11 of us (9 adults 2 children) and we all had an excellent holiday and none of us wanted to leave when the week was up. it’s the 1st time we’ve had a villa holiday and we can’t wait to do it all again! the villa has everything you could possibly need and the views are absolutely stunning. the owner Lluis greeted us at the villa when we arrived and then also took us to the supermarket in his own car to do our 1st shop and stock up on essentials (meat for the bbq and alcohol 😃😎) there is also a bakery at the side of the supermarket where we bought fresh bread and treats from every day and every thing we had from there was 2nd to none! ( the bakery and supermarket are a 10 minute walk away from the villa) we bbq’d almost every day and it was awesome to sit with all our family on the terrace eating the best bbq food while taking in the unbelievable views of girona. we spent most of our week enjoying the very comfortable la magrana villa and the private pool which we all took advantage of every single day ( the weather was around 30c every day) we also had a couple of nights out in girona city for some very nice food and drinks which was a 10 to 15 minute walk down into the city..mostly down hill going so we caught taxi’s back with no problems at all. girona is without a doubt the nicest and most interesting city i’ve ever been to..and i would definitely love to go back to girona and la magrana again in the future. Lluis is exactly how a host should be and we would all like to thank him for having us and for an excellent holiday!!!😎🌞😎 🤜🏼🤛🏼

House with a view...
We had a delightfull stay at Lluis's very relaxing home. The house has fabulous views back to the city of Girona and the surrounding country-- the evening sunset was a particularly enjoyable time of day to take in the vista. The house is very well set up. We loved using the modern kitchen appliances including a built in espresso/coffee machine! We had a total of six people staying and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax. We made the most of the outdoor living areas; pool, patio, terrace with barbecue. The walk into town was picturesque and included climbing the stairs and working off all the Jambon & Manchego we consumed. Lluis was a gracious host who made some excellent suggestions of restaurants to try in the area, and was quick to answer any queries during the booking process & for the duration of our stay. And we would stay again without hesitation.

Pete and Glenda were super nice guests. They came with two other couples and I know they loved the house and the city. They were friendly and respectful with the house's rules. When they left the house, it was clean and tidy. I highly recommend these guests, they take care of the house as if it was their home.

Perfect base for exploring Catalonia
This is a gracious, comfortable house -- with a magnificent terrace, lovely views of the city and a pool. We were two couples and a young son -- and the space divides nicely. The owner is the friendliest and most helpful person imaginable. This is a perfect spot to explore Girona and the surrounding countryside. We visited marvelous romanesque churches in Besalú and Santa Pau nearby; and a bit further afield is Ripoll, Sant Joan de Les Abadesses and Beget. The Jewish quarter in Girona is well worth exploring -- as is the gothic cathedral. We also made a wonderful trip to Cap de Creus and Cadaques by the sea. The house is very well equipped. The owner is a very fine person. Absolutely trustworthy.

Vacation at la Magrana, Girona Spain
I just can say great things of our stay at La Magrana Girona. The owner Lluis was waiting until late at night to welcome us(he even join us for a late night meal on a great local place in Girona). We have the opportunity to get all the recommendations from him that night for places to visit for sightseeing, museums and great places to eat all kind of food. The property exceed by far our expectations. Clean, all the amenities we need like washer machine, pool, BBQ, central a/c on all the property(even a great expresso coffee machine). A spectacular view of Girona and 7 min drive to the historic center(or 10 min by bike at least going down the hill). 110 % recommended. Thank you for everything LLuis.

They were seven people in the house, three of them have taken part in the cycling event Girona Gran Fondo from 12th to 18th June. They stored their bicycles into the private garage and while they were training for the competition, their wives enjoyed the private swimming pool and visited museums and cafeterias around Girona. All of them were funny people, respectful with house's rules and good communicators. Great guests! I highly recommend Daisy, Aida, David, Carlos, Luis.. to any host and of course.. You will be welcome if you come back here and we will take some beers too again!

The house is beautiful and perfectly equipped. The view from up high is wonderful. If you come to stay for cycling, take in account that you will have a last climb to make. There is a bus to get to the center and swimming pools

Grande villa avec vue. Propriétaire super sympa.
Le propriétaire Lluis est très sympa. Il nous a donné les bons plans lors de notre arrivée. La villa est vraiment grande et possède une belle terrasse surplombant la piscine avec une superbe vue sur la vallée. On peut se rendre au centre ville en bus (5min) ou à pied (20min) par un petit chemin très sympa.

Lluis ist ein aufmerksamer Vermieter, der jederzeit hilfreich zur Seite stand und viele Tipps hatte. Das Haus ist für uns mit 4 Paaren und einem Baby perfekt gewesen. Es bietet großzügigen Platz, eine gut bestückte Küche und eine schöne Außenanlage. Wir haben die Tischtennisplatte und den Grill geliebt. Wenn unser Reiseziel nochmal Girona wird, würden wir es wieder wählen.

The place to be for cyclists
We stayed for one week. The host Lluis is friendly and very helpful. We arrived early Sunday and it was no problem to leave our luggage in garage to go for our first ride. The house is nice and the rooms are equipped very good. The stairs downwards the house to the garage are a bit slippery, especially on cycling shoes (Lluis warned us for this). The house is just on 20 minutes walking distance from the city of Girona. Lluis thank you letting us stay in this nice house. Probably we will come back because besides the house the environment of Girona is lovely. Regards Harry (and friends).

Raquel and her group of friends were a very good guests. They spent Midsummer in the house and celebrated it in the correct way, without noise, respectfully with the house and neighbours. They left the house clean, they did a little tidying up before leaving the house. Good communication with them during their stay. I highly recommend Raquel to all homeowners.

We had a really nice stay in this house with a group of 13 people. The house is neat and well furnished. Lluis was always available for questions and very reliable. I can also recommend the Paella dinner which is provided by a professional cook who can be booked via Lluis.

Alexander was a great guest, very responsible, perfect to lead a large cycling group. They made daily cycling routes and used the house as a base for doing that. Nice group, good communication with and followed the house's rules. They left the house very clean and tidy. Highly recommend Alexander and his mates to everyone!

Great house - it has it all
As a group of seven cyclists, we rented the house for a week in September and had a great time. The house is well equipped with everything we needed, there’s an excellent nearby supermarket and coffee bar and it’s a pleasant stroll into Girona old town. A bit of a slog back up the hill, but taxis are readily available if you don’t fancy this or walking is a problem. The terrace is lovely for al fresco dining with a fantastic view over the town and surrounding hills. There’s even a good quality table tennis table to hone your skills. The pool is clean and care for and was warm during our visit. Great for a quick dip or a longer chill out. The house is spacious with well furnished rooms. Clean and well maintained. What about Lluis, the owner? As others have said, Lluis is the most helpful owner I’ve come across. He provides prompt and comprehensive responses to messages, ensured the house was A1 prior to our arrival, did some shopping for us as we arrived late on a Saturday, came for a meal and few drinks with us, gave us a lift back to the house, recommended restaurants and bars, kept in touch throughout our stay and lots more. I can’t praise him highly enough. A great chap who speaks better English than us!! If you’re thinking of booking this house, just do it now, you will not be disappointed. We’ll be back.

Great house on an even better location, at walking distance from the beautiful old town of Girona.
We had a very pleasant stay in La Magrana. We enjoyed the pool and had BBQs on the terrace, with its amazing view! The owner was very helpful. We were a group of 11 and would certainly rent it again when back in Girona.

Estuvimos mi familia y yo alojados en esta casa, y la verdad es que todo estaba perfecto. Disfrutemos mucho de la casa y sobretodo de la piscina. Lluis fue muy amable y el trato fue más que correcto, ojala todos los propietarios tuvieran la misma dedicación que el durante la estancia. Mi familia y yo la recomendamos 100% sin ninguna duda.

A very beautiful house with fantastic view
We were a group of seven people (2 couples and some friends) travelling around Barcelona and Girona. We stayed for two nights in this beautiful house. The house is spacious and every room is very nicely designed and decorated. The view from the house is fantastic. The host Lluis is super helpful and friendly. We had a very pleasant stay. We really wished that we could stay longer. Hopefully next time!

La casa es muy acogedora, ideal para reunirse con amigos o familia
Tuvimos una gran experiencia en la casa de Lluis, que alquile para pasar un fin de semana con mis amigos y familia para festejar mi cumpleaños. Está muy bien equipada, tiene todo lo necesario para preparar una BBQ, disfrutar de la piscina y dormir cómodamente. Por lo tanto es altamente recomendable, definitivamente con mis amigos pensamos en volver.

Nous avons loué cette maison à 3 couples et autant d'enfants, et la maison était parfaitement adaptée à nos besoins... la région est superbe, Gerone vaut le coup d'œil! Lluis, le propriétaire, est charmant, extrêmement accessible et disponible, et nous sommes ravis de l'avoir rencontré ! Bref, des vacances de rêve ! À découvrir absolument...

Hélène, Bertrand, Corine, Vincent, Jacques, Victor, Camille, Hugo.. six adultes et sept enfants avec qui j'ai partagé de grands moments. Nous avons eu une excellente communication par téléphone comme dans la maison. Je me suis détendue avec ces familles et j'espère d'entretenir une relation d'amitié avec eux longtemps. Bien sûr, ils ont respecté les règles et je leur recommande vivement à des autres hôtes.

Super belle villa trés bien exposée
Nous sommes partis à 12 personnes pour une petite semaine de vacance dans cette villa magnifique ! J'ose dire "mieux que sur les images même". Nous avons était super bien accueilli par le propriétaire qui nous a bien conseillé pour le tourisme ect Je trouve que 5/5 à cette villa est vraiment mérité ! Encore merci !! :)

Ils sont un groupe animé de jeunes gars. Clément est la personne qui a loué la Magrana. Il est un bon gars et il a un personnalité adulte. Comment déjà je vous avez dit ,le prochain fois aura disponible une table de ping-pong pour vous. Le terrain pour jouer à la pétanque, il sera plus difficile :) J'espère vous revoir bientôt!

Très bel endroit, calme et près de tout.
Nous étions 11 personnes, et la maison est suffisamment grande pour tout le monde. Lluis nous a très bien accueilli, et nous a documenté sur ce que nous voulions savoir. L'endroit est très bien placé, 5 mn en voiture du centre ville, 5 mn pour aller dans un hyper, avec aucun inconvénient. Pour ceux qui font du vélo c'est un régal, côte de 3 kms à 10% avec des pointes à 14%. Pour le fractionné c'est parfait... :-) En tout cas merci à Lluis pour son accueil et sa disponibilité.

Je suis très heureux que la maison vous a fait plaisir. La prochaine fois que vous venez, je vous ai préparé des itinéraires personnalisés et garage prêt à ranger votre vélo. Maintenant ils arrivent un groupe de cyclistes anglais et je lui demanderont quelles sont les meilleures pistes cyclables :) Vous êtes une jolie petite famille. A bientôt!!
