Loved the Black Walnut Inn. I would love to go back. The rooms are lovely. Breakfast is delicious. A very generous spread. Self-serve tea and coffee is available at all times in the dining room area. There are also treats one can help oneself too. Chocolate chip cookies our first day and molasses cookies the second. Meghan bakes the best cookies. Seriously, the best. The owners are very warm. If we visit Amherst again, staying here would be our first choice. Thank you.

We stayed 2 nights at Hotel UMASS. The staff was beyond amazing. My family had booked the wrong room through a 3rd party and the minute I explained what happened they adjusted my room no questions. The hotel was clean,comfortable and well maintained. I can not recommend this hotel enough.

Check in was excellent with nice staff. Our room overlooked the lake behind the hotel and included a balcony. Facilities were well kept and bed was very comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was your standard free hot breakfast.
Overall, more than I would expect for a medium-low budget hotel.
