The owners are amazing - give you a map that shows all the local places when you check in. They even lent me a bamboo mat for the beach! The place is also spotless - they take great care of it. Air conditioning and TV both worked very well. A 5 minute slow walk from the beach, and there is a supermarket literally 5 meters from the front door. Spacious and very clean rooms located right across from major hotels. Walking distance to restaurants and beach. Has an on-site Turkish restaurant with good food. Nearby excellent laundromat. Can be noisy sometimes due to echo-y hallways and inconsiderate guests. Major downside is location is far from Georgetown and urban Penang sights and you can’t really swim at the beach. Would also be much improved if they put an electric kettle in each room — the communal water dispenser was hard to work for hot water. They take extremely good care of the place, cleaning out the AC, painting the corners of where the wall meets the floor that most people don’t pay attention to. It’s very clean and it’s also a short walk to the beach. Actually the crown of my tooth fell out while I was there and they suggested a dentist, I went and the dentist was amazing!
